What happens when coc dies?

What will you guys do? Will you desperately try to hold on to the game as fewer and fewer people play and every base is inactive? Will you quit along with everyone else? Will you play occasionally, nursing your maxed th10 bases and donating troops to your few still playing clan mates? What will you do?

And also, how do you think coc will die? Extremely bad update (Please don't start about the loot), everyone gets maxed and people are bored, people are bored, players move on, people stop feeling the need to gem so sc just ditches it coz it aint bring in any revenue? Feel free to post and add more reasons for how and why things will happen.

What happens when you get banned for trying to increase your post count? Or was that someone else that made the silly complaint thread?

Every update complainers will quit because supercell have apparently stuffed something up until ppl give up and stop playing

I imagine the game will end when people start losing interest. In turn supercell will stop updating so often. But I don't see that happening anytime in the near future. Supercell probably has the updates planned about a year in advance, or at least a very good idea of what the updates will be. As long as they keep generating money theyll keep planning the updates! I for one am excited to see what they have planned for us in the next few months. Wondering when that th11 update will be coming out. If I had to guess id say it will be at least another few months. Love love love this game!

I think I will continue to play, to see how high i can get in lvl if all is maxed and theres nothing else. Not only that but I also think I will continue with the "clan game", meaning to keep building my clan with those who are still playing. I have had members say things to me such as "i never cared about elder till i found this clan", "in my other clan i was always upgrading and attacking cause no one really talked as this clan does", "this clan may be crazy but it's like we are one big disfunctional family here". I can go one with reasons why if nothing else i might continue to play the "clan game". Now the other thing I have enjoyed in CoC is helping others, so if i had no clan or didnt want to do the clan thing i might just float around visiting and helping those i can. I am extremely addicted, so much so that sometimes I feel I might need a CoC intervention...lol! But thats how I feel now, maybe i might feel different then...if I do I'll revisit this post ;). Happy Clashing!...while we still want too.

I would quit along with the others. I'm not "loyal" to games or anything. If I lose interest, I move on to play another game.

I'll probably cling on for a bit but after i realise its doomed I'll leave with the masses.

You can still play. I once played a game called fluffy bunny, it technically died because they didn't update it, but I could still play it. Fluffy bunny got boring though. I can't believe I wasted $100 on that game... I got bored from it a bit fast...

I once visited a town out side of Vegas called the Bunny Ranch, there was a person there named Fluffy Bunny....

but I do have a question. At the end of 2013, the internet will end, there will be global disaster, right? If so, why are you here on these forums when there are only 12 days left?

Also, if we are all still here playing CoC in 2014 and posting on forums, will you agree that you were wrong and will you then move on, or will you try to find another date for these disasters? It's an honest question, I'm not mocking you, just want to see what your thinking is.

We will likely kill CoC ourselves as the new drug called Boom Beach from SuperCell is released. Starting all over with building, spending, fighting, and complaining. :p

But to answer: play boom beach. Heh

I think it'll be a while until CoC dies.

Hopefully it doesn't happen within the next year.

I think a lack of updates with new troops, upgrades and buildings can make it die.

I just want to get to TH10 before it dies though hahaha. I'm on TH7 now so I bet I could get there.

You would quit the moment something more fun comes along... this is after all just games and everyone will play anything that is most fun to them.

And that is why these forums are open, so sc can listen to sentiments on the ground before that happens. Even brick and mortar shops hire scret shoppers to test shopping experience. Those "anti-complainers" are basically just sucking up where they are actually not wanted, by sc or anyone else. If sc wanted to be blind and deaf and want people to 'quit if they don't like it' they wouldn't have these forums and it wouldn't be illegal or against any game code of operations.

Never said(meant) it would happen AT the end. It will be more of the beginning.
But if 2014 passes with no signs of disaster , then sure, I was wrong. Along with all the people I've read about/ talked to. I DONT know what's coming FIRST, but it should be around the date they said for the Mayan calendar, just 2013.

I don't think that CoC will end anytime soon but then again nothing last forever. There are many reasons why CoC could end. Bad updates, lack of interest, takeover from another company, unfair play just to name a few. I would probably keep playing until they shut down there servers though. I am a committed player and have invested a lot of time and effort in this game. Not to mention that I have also have a lot of enjoyment playing. I have seen good games go before because of the things I have mention above so who knows what the future holds for CoC ? I do hope they stay around for awhile.

I think it will be a very slow decline. The game is already less popular than it was at the start of the year but there are still lots of people playing it. I think people will slowly move on over the next ~2 years until the game is a ghost town (No offense to SC, the game is great but every great game eventually dies out and they know this)

I was actually thinking about this recently... I don't think COC will ever completely die. There will always be active players... too many people have put too much time into this game for it to completely die and have no active players signed on... So, with that said... The only way for COC to die is if Supercell shuts down the servers.

We realize that no game can last forever, but the entire Clash team shares a vision for the long-term.

We hope that people will still love and play Clash 10 years from now. Nothing has changed about that vision and we will continue to develop the game with that in mind!

Imagine finding inactive bases every raid, I'd get so much loot I won't care.

Clash of clans will eventually die, Imagine a Town Hall 587, if you can't, then it will die sometime.

So the end might be closer then you think, let's look at some of the points your brought up that could bring the end of the game to us:

Bad Updates - Umm no comment
Lack of Interest - If gauging my clan's activity over the past 3 weeks tells us anything, this is beginning to set upon us
Take over from another company - You know the company was sold to a Japanese investment group in Oct 2013, right?
Unfair Play - See "bad updates" for my comments on this.

OT: I have partially moved on, I keep checking back here in hopes that something is going to change. There are plenty of fun games out there, so I have plenty to occupy my time.

I give it 10 months if you don't fix the endlessly clicking NEXT problem. Not that you will switch it off in 10 months, but that it will be in serious and irrecoverable decline well before then.

SC need to increase the loot % back to the original 25%. Keep the other changes by all means.

I'll probably ride off of inactive bases and max my way up. But personally, I think people will quit because many TH8-9 players will be discouraged by the high upgrade prices and times in order to max, especially when new TH levels come out.

The Japanese investment group isn't involved in the game though... SC has stated that they will continue to be the ones producing the new content not the group.

What I'm saying is that not as many apple users play, but since before android release, numbers have increased heaps. But if they want to save the game for another year or two they need to fix a certain problem within the next couple months. Coz they are just losing too many players to it.
