We Need A New Sub-Forum (READ)

I have an idea for a new sub-forum, if a Mod can reply to this that'd be great, I will edit your post in here to see what you have to say

We need an Introduction sub forum, this is where new forum members or forumers that are coming back post.

When you sign up you will be redirected to that sub-forum to post a thread.

I'm tried of seeing posts in General and Off-Topic of people joining the forums, this can really help the mods who have to move the introduction threads to Off-Topic from General and help filter out the forums.

I will put up a poll to see your guys opinions.

It kind of raises the question of what WE (not the mods, I mean you) want the forum to be overall really.

I personally do think an intro sub forum is probably overkill but maybe an intro sticky in General - if people spot it when they first join.

An update feedback sub-forum would be great, an intro sticky maybe, but members have to be re-directed to it, since most people won't spot it. Thanks for your opinion Daddy!

Although this does not relate to this specific sub forum topic, I would also like to throw in the idea of having a sub forum for player made guides ("Clash of Clans Player Guides"). I understand there is a "thread of threads" already but it might be nice to have a sub forum which has all of them.

If one were to be made, I would suggest that the sub forum be user reply only so that non worthy guides don't appear there (i.e.: troll guides). It would be a nice repository of all of the guides. Thoughts?

I like that you remembered to include those brackets. Lately it doesn't seem to be what us members want.

There was a 'thread of threads' thread that was going to be stickied again...this should mostly cover it.

An update feedback, and a forum feedback would be nice.

Actually, update feedback can be good, like "Good job SC with the loot update! It has improved like this ....." It doesn't automatically mean that the update is bad.

We need a subforum for discussing the various subforums...

In all seriousness, it already feels like there are too many, and I think threads would have better activity if a few subforums were consolidated.

However, a subforum dedicated to updates is the exception. That is a fantastic idea. 😎👍

I think there should be a complaint sub-forum.

I can deal with the introductions, it's the constant barrage of "wut supercll this game sux" stuff that really brings the atmosphere down.

I don't think there's enough introductions to warrant a sub-forum, at least I don't notice very many.

I'm not sure about an update feedback sub-forum, either, because sometimes there are good threads discussing how the game should evolve post-update that I think are important enough to be in the most popular forum, although I do understand wanting a sub-forum to put repetitive threads covering the same gripe in.

You could call those complaints. :)

I like the idea of an update sub forum as he forums become almost unusable after a update. Every sub forum made has drained stuff from general however and I would have rather the attack/defence log wasn't created as I enjoyed Mano y manos in general.

I don't recall what happened when I created an account, I mostly wanted to be able to see these secret base design attachments, but I'm pretty sure there was an email confirmation thing. A starter kit would be great but the problem is how to get something like that to be used. Even someone like me, who sighs at the plebs who don't read the stickies, doesn't immediately read the stickies. Apparently, Nick knows a way to make a post known, the months lag needs to be figured though. ;)

How do you imagine this feedback sub forum would work? All new threads/posts? For a week a day a month? Or do yo think people we would come to the forum, raging about a maintenance or update, and hunt for for the "feedback sub forum"?

I would see people saying "WE WANT GEMS" after a maintane break, that can be against the rules of course to ask for free gems, there will be rules, I'm also making the rules up. PEople would go to give feedback about a troop, an update, loot, etc., etc.

We also need to filter out duplicate threads, like the "You posted a duplicate post 5 minutes ago", we need that for threads, I see a whole buncha duplicates.
