HELL, even just make it cost a reasonable amount of gems, 300-500 gems is possibly achieveable in a months grind, and the same value, 500 gems costs the same @supercell are you listening??

The reason this is not true is because active players, even without all these magic items, have always been able to upgrade faster than new content has been added. Now, with all the magic items from clan games, regular events, medals from league wars, the sliver track for season challenges, reduced costs/time, etc. active players will easily be able to max out faster than new content is added. Sure, the gold pass players will get there faster, just as gem buying players always have been able to do, but active free-to-play players will get there too.
So, nothing has changed other than a new decorative item to add to the list of prior such things that could only be purchased with money.
I guess my problem is tied to the fact that I can no longer use my gems to collect items as I'd been doing previously. I've played seven years without spending a dime and while most of you would argue that supercell is better off without me, I was there early on promoting and getting all my friends and family on this game who have spent money. I've dedicated alot of time to this game and now I feel as though it's all for nothing as there's no way to happily continue playing the way I've been playing until this point as all the collectible items don't provide an option to use gems (the original in-game cash alternative).
Anyone else hate the most recent update(April 2, 2019 update)? The concept with hero skins and season awards for daily challenges and attacks is good and all, but some aspects of this update are completely shrewd and generally unattractive.
For starters, the new hero animations are terrible. The Grand Warden has been completely untouched, which makes it look normal. The King and Queen however, stand out. They don’t even look like they’re from the game anymore, they look like they’re from a 99 cent mobile shooter game that was produced in a basement. Attacking with the new heroes is even worse. They’re attacking animations are not only ugly, but they’re slower. My king is not as quick on the attack, nor is my queen. The quality of my attacks and experience has been decaying since the new update.
I’d also just like to state that the season passes are dumb, there are enough micro transactions to make already, and it’s just a way to incentivize us to spend more money on a game that already has plenty of ways to spend money.
If I were to rate this update out of 10 I’d give it a 3.
Please revert these changes Supercell I pray that you do.
Looks good but I was very interested in the 20% boost perk. However it looks like you won’t be able to unlock that until almost the end of the season. It will only be active for a few days.
Why are the challenges time locked out??? If I pay the money I don’t mind grinding to earn it, but to only have it for 3 days is total rubbish.
That works for the hero skin and loot, but for perks that last the life of the season then might as well not bother.
The Heroes new design is so when you select the different looks, it somewhat matches the body. The Grand Warden will probably undergo a new look once the developers create a skin for him too.
Keep in mind that SuperCell is a business, therefore it will continue to develop more content and have options for their users to spend money if they choose to.
Suddenly I'm in the clouds foreveeeeeeeer. Never happened before.
Also, the new UI changes are freaking terrible on the Galaxy S10. Whoever thought this UI was a good idea.. um yeah, don't.
i understand your point. but all the motivation to do so has gone. Supercell have proved time after time they dont care about their free2play playerbase. There is literally no rewards for those players for doing the exact same. I've been a loyal SC free2play player since release, had multiple accounts of all of their games, to what avail? make the gold pass earnable. thats all i ask. make it hard to get albeit earnable. even if it means they have to log on every day for the entire season or whatever. give the SC Vets something. its already 500 gems for £4.99 (the same price) - i would much rather they made the gold tier cost 500 gems, and those who wish to pay outright still have that option. and those keen for the grind get that option too.
The rewards are ridiculously easy (and out of value order).
I just got 5,000 dark elixir for:
1) donating 20 troops;
2) winning 1 attack;
3) starting and cancelling the same upgrade 5x in BB.
Okaaaay.... Thanks?
I know they are trying to get everyone to TH12 before 13 drops, but... dayam....
The only thing that pisses me off is that I have to look at some 5-year-old's refrigerator art for the next 3 to 4 months when I start the game.
If you're gonna have the queen thrusting her [butt] in my face, at least give her a nice pair of legs.
