Is CoC a Closed Community

Generally I only remember forum members by their avatar / signature and the style in which they speak in their posts. If you showed me a bunch of members' avatars + signatures and one of their posts (without their name) I could pretty easily tell you several other posts they have made, if you just showed me the members' name, I would probably only recognize them if they were one of the few members who have incredibly active forum-presence and / or are sort of forum "celebrities" like daddy and such.

That said, imo the forums aren't a closed community as much as a dying community. Lots of active members who used to post and contribute constantly now lurk in the shadows and many have just stopped posting altogether (which makes me assume they've left).

I could go more into detail on why I think this is, but I think I've been ranting about it enough in other threads already haha I'll save everyone the lecture / rant this time :p

I can so relate to this - a feature request should be your forum post count in your profile or a special badge for a forum member :)

I thought I met Stitch in game yesterday actually ... but no it was a guy with the same name :(

Well if at least everyones IGN and forum name would be the same...you'd have a fighting chance lol

saying that once you clash with ppl for a while you do remeber them even if they have multiple names for multiple apps/forums etc..

i wouldnt say say its a closed community or even a tight community... Its a lose chaotic large community, like a huge funfair where you know a bunch a ppl you know are there and you run into them every once in a while, or sometime you see them from top of the Ferris wheel and only get to wave rather than chat.
It gives it a 'familiar' feel which is nice, which out being restrictive or exclusive.

fun fact, I've seen your base pop up a few times while raiding. I always find it amusing when I see a forum member's base who I've never met in the game.

Theres two other bases I see fairly refularly (maybe once or twice a day) who have very similar names, something like daddy2 and daddy_lol (not those exact names, can't remember them precisely) which always makes me confused "did he just jump up to champion and gem all his walls to lvl 11? no..who is this imposter??" haha.
