yeah what they said, your only saving grace may be is that the Tesla could take out a few troops if they just spammed all their troops and had none in reserve but face it if you are using Tesla's to prevent 3 stars means your base got beat up pretty badly in the first place.
They pop up at 50% but it still might work on some attacks. If the attacker doesn't see it pop up and spawn troops to attack it, by the time the rest of the base is destroyed there might not be enough time for the remaining troops to get to it and wipe it out. Seems like a waste of a tesla though.
A better idea would be to place it strategically to avoid 100%
Why would you waste one of the highest DPS defences on something as pointless as avoiding 100%? If the attacker has a strong enough army to clean you up, I'm sure he's going to have enough troops to deal with a single tesla. Place it inside your base strategically.
