Opportunity to change name and/or clan name?

Why hello there,
I have a request for the upcoming update;
What if.. we could change our names and/or clan name? For example the name change is free for the first time and the clan name change is about 150 gems and can only be done once? And also the possibility to promote someone to co-leader would be great :D

Sorry you are wrong. The ability to change a Clan's name is not ruled out. Only the ability to change a Village name. You should also realise that posting "This is ruled out - read the rules" isn't accepted practice either (if you have in fact read the stickies)

The reason changing a Village name is ruled out would seem to be that players could use it to:
Mimic other players (copy a name, use it to gain access to clans etc)
Change your name frequently to hop into clans that have kicked you out before as you would be anonymous.

I would be highly in favour of being able to rename a clan, even if it was for a cost, or had a very long cool down.

You could always start a new clan with a different name. There aren't any "clan upgrades" as of now, so there's no harm in leaving your old clan and starting a new one with all your old members.

That's a pain.

I do know clan's do it already though.
As a leader I'd happily spend 500,000 gold to do this and accept a 'once per month' chance to do it.

(Hell, I'd unhappily spend 1,000,000 to do it to be honest)

The fact that it's effectively achievable anyway, why not make it actually possible with the UI?

I'd rather spend 2m gold changing the name instead of moving...

How about adding some kind of clan piggy bank, which players can donate gold to for a name change. And the cost of the clan name change can be higher or lower, depending on the size of the clan.

Could be a cool way to share resources too, maybe? Would be nice to have some kind of piggy bank u can borrow resources from when needed.. Even if there is a limit based on your size to how much you can withdraw... I dunno. Just my 2 cents

Okay- That's ruled out. Supercell doesn't want people sharing resources because it will result in a loss of gem sales and will also encourage players to create spam account in an effort to create more revenue. I'm getting tired of new members coming in without reading the sticky- please read ALL OF THE RULES before posting so that you are an educated and prepared forum member.
