Should we raise the donations requirements?

Most of you will be familiar with the three tier system used in the Cavebear clan. If not, then I suggest you read the first page of their thread.
So far I have heard no critism of this system, and as far as I am aware it works really well.
Recently we adopted the 50 troops per week donation standard in Riverbears. I suggest we now consider that we now look at adopting the Cavebear system, or something very similar.
Have a look at the weekly donations stats that I post every Monday. From this you would would probably conclude the same as I do, that general donations in Riverbears tend be so good that we can probably up the standards. This would put Riverbears in equal standing with Cavebears and equate us as a true sister clan rather than an alternative lower activity clan.
To compensate for this, any move to higher donation standards would also invoke the reactivation of Icebears as an alternative low activity clan for those members who do not want a clan with higher donation standards.
Let me know what you think.
OK I hesitated to express an opinion on is topic because I thought it would not impact me since I can't resist hitting that green donate button. :) As long as everyone donated some and my requests were filled quickly, I do not care who donates.
But now I have realized that the more people donate, the more often they comment in chat. In order to donate you have to either leave the chat open or check it often. (Mine is usually open when I am not raiding) The more often you are reading the chat the more likely you will add a comment. The more people who comment, the greater variety of opinions are expressed and chat becomes more than just ty & np.
This game has built in down time while the army trains for the next raid. When I first started playing coc, I would read a book during this time. Now I spend the time reading chat and chatting a bit myself. This adds to the enjoyment I get from the game. Clan mates will cheer for your accomplishments if you share them (my husband just looks at me oddly)
Enough rambling, my vote is to raise the limit slowly. We don't want force people to leave. We don't people to feel we are requiring them to play more often. We want to encourage them to participate more.
