You point out several..well, obvious points that I think everyone can agree with such as "complaining is annoying" and "Being constructive is good" and so on.

The overall TONE of the post however kind of comes across as you YELLING at / scolding everyone for not curtsying at each other every five minutes. (see what I did there?)

I'm afraid this is likely to just end in more bickering. :(

In the forums, recently, there have been MANY complaints. Most/all of these stem from the loot system update and the current loot situation. Many threads have been created arguing about the loot system, suggesting possible solutions. Some have presented a clear, feasible topic. While others contributed nothing to the forums. Nonetheless, the forums have been plagued by argument over loot.

there are two basic sides that people take when arguing over loot. There's the happy raiders, and the unhappy raiders. Happy raiders generally suggest that loot is fine, and all you need to do is mess with trophys, army comp, etc. Whereas unhappy raiders say loot sucks and TH9&10 need new collectors or there needs to be an achievement for maxing collectors ;)

EITHER WAY, most argument have led only to futile bickering over the current state of loot and has filled the forums with complaint after complaint after complaint. Here is why COMPLAINING WILL GET US NO WHERE.

1. Complaining serves NO purpose, other than to ridicule a certain party
2. Complaining offers NOTHING to a decent discussion, other than anger
3. Complaining is just ANNOYING

Now don't go thinking I'm only talking about the loot thread makers and the unhappy raiders. TO ME the happy raiders complaining about complainers is the WORSTE. They only further the meaninglessness to the discussion to oblivion.

So, what's the magical fix to (slowly) stop all complaints?

1. Be constructive!
If some genuinely is having a hard time with clash telling them there wrong or don't know how to farm will NOT help the situation. Helpful advice NEEDS to be offered to EVERY complainer on the forums. If you teach them/show them what there doing wrong then why would they complain? And if they truly can't seem to make things better then they will leave the game knowing they did the best they could, because they actually TRIED.

2. IGNORE IT. If someone is flaming it up, and show no signs of recovery, then just ignore them! Feeding trolls will do nothing but make them stay/bring more. Need proof? Look at general lol

3. Report It! If someone continues to just be unproductive, and offer NOTHING but complaints and ridicule, then report them and let a mod judge what further actions need to be taken.

In the end, the only way to make things better it to HELP. I hope this thread has taught/reminded you of how to behave in the forums.

EDIT: Making a thread/statement about something's flaws IS complaining, but should be tolerated IF it presents solutions/maintains a valid/proper argument.

Well, it just that for us player, the only way to know whether their claim of a good loot is true or not is actually seeing their gold grab achievement increment daily... I have discovered many great trolls that are saying loot is always the same (he even thanked the sc because loot has been great since day1, even when the maker of the game admitted there's a dip and they're exploring the options to counter this), but I have been watching their gold grab increment for a week or two and their increment is just 2-3 mio gold... And seeing as you don't want to reveal your name in game or in what clan, sorry, I am assuming you are also a great troll.

The loot available fluctuates. I don't always make a million gold every 30 minutes. It's ridiculous to state that in the first place.

In this dry season, where many people complain there are no loots, I have been stacking up 5m~10m gold per day, sometimes less and sometimes more.

So evidently, there are loots available. You just need to be patient and follow where the loots may be.

Loot is alright, but not back to same levels, as a semi casual player I had been raking in about 25 M gold per week, right now though just half that, it's just not worth nexting for so long.

Please take a moment to consider my post. I usually watching trolls for a week or two. That's enough time so far to prove either they are lying or not. Oh, and I always read the whole thread before replying to any. You should really upload at least 3 of your great raids to teach us how to farm.

What trophy range are you at? BTW?

im hovering around 1500, not the best loot wish i could move up but i save troops which doesn't give me enough for the one star. But gold 3 suffices i guess.

Yeah, if I had max troops (fairly new Th9) I would BAM other TH9s at higher trophy levels.

I'm a town hall 9 player and struggle to find loot. I spend at least 5 hours on the game daily, usually a few more hours than that, and find it very hard to get matched against someone who has even just 100k gold available. It has improved slightly since the update, as Supercell claimed it would, so I refrained from commenting until the time they claimed it would really improve had passed.

Well, now it has passed, and for the most part, the amount of gold I'm finding is in no way going to get me to 4-5 million to upgrade a defense in the full on weekends I spend just trying to find loot. I started at 1600 trophies and worked my way up to 2400 and still have not found any 'sweet spot', so that whole argument obviously does not play a role in why I am not finding any loot. It's nearly pointless for me to use the gem boosts on my barracks because I am spending 10 or more minutes hitting next before I get matched against someone who has more than 80k of both resources (before this elixir gem boost).

The only thing I am not complaining about in this loot update is the dark elixir. I've found it far easier to acquire dark elixir now. It is very evident that they updated the old loot system because it was based off of town hall 8 being the highest town hall, but they have NOT updated the collector production/level system. It is still outdated, even after they've tweaked the loot system, no matter what you say.

I have a second account that is town hall 8, and it's amazing how much loot is available and how many 'abandoned bases' I am getting matched with on it at any trophy count I try to search under. I am not sure if this is luck or if there is something about town hall 8 that is the 'sweet spot' for getting the most resources- not a 'sweet spot' in farming abilities, because that is obviously luck. The new update's details claim that there should be an increase in loot for higher level players, not town hall 8 players. I suggest you come back to this post as a town hall 9 and let me know if you still agree there is not a problem. I have the advantage of two accounts to compare the differences between the town halls.

Exactly my point. How much can you realistically farm in half an hour (without boosting). 400k? 500k? That is if you're lucky. But wait, how many times did you press 'next' in order to find these rich bases?

I can't answer this myself since I am not a TH9 but most of my clanmates are level100+ TH9's and 10's and when I ask them how the loot is, it isn't as good as before but they still occasionally find good raids.

Seeing from the replays they provide, they are usually abandoned TH10 bases at Gold 1 league. Usually around 300k golds.

Right after the update, everyone was complaining this is the worst update for the TH8's and TH9's, I am not farming as much as before the update but I'm still managing to shed some light in this dry season.

to be frank... i'm TH9 and I find the loot to be even better than before the update...

I'm raiding at least 8+ million a day now along with barrack boost...

i dont bam uses to much de for my taste im to greedy. Rather get that extra lvl on my heros but using bag or barch i can 2-3 star a fairly upgraded th 9.

Depends, I come in the game and see how the loots are, and if they are good I pump the barracks on full throttle and farm for hours.

Realistically, how much I farm in half an hour? If the loot is good 500k~700k?
But does that really matter how much I farm?

As long as I get some walls done and get all my 5 builders working and I am satisfied.

How many skips it takes? Sometimes just a few, sometimes more than 10 minutes.
When it takes that long I just stop playing and come back later, or test different trophy ranges.

I settle for
- easy 100k+ gold bases
- 150k+ gold inactive bases (filled mines)
- 200k+ gold medium defense bases
Yeah, so I can see what you are trying to get at. I stress one day because I can't find any loots but the next day, or even hours later, loot appears.

If you seriously don't find any loots for days in a row then there may be a problem worth complaining about but I highly doubt that.

Let th9-10 complain I'm a th8 and the loot is better than it was before so calm down th8 ppl are richer than they were pre update i find myself waiting to empty my storages so i can fill then straight away again so i think it is that th8's just want it to be handed on a silver platter and previously it was but if you slot in the right league the loot is huge

Agreed.

Anyone can complain, but complaining with possible solutions to the perceived problem adds more value; and more likely to attract positive attention. As opposed to SuperCell staff closing it or a landslide of "collectors, storages corner kthxbye" comments.

It was a glitch, not an exploit. They fixed it, and everyone who benefited from it have had the lvl of their troop changed back to the proper lvl.

Loots been hit and miss for me. But still enough to slowly fill storages with the occasional 300k plus raid so I'm not complaining. It could be a lot worse but the 30k bases are a Pain in the rear!

For some newer players I thought it would be interesting to see a complaint thread from this time last year when Supercell nerfed the loot for the first time.

There are a couple more 'blasts from the past' that are worth a read :cool:

Apart from an awful lot less nexting, i fail to remember masses of loot before storage % change.

I wasn't playing under the old loot system so I can't comment on masses of loot. Nor do I need masses of loot. But when the choice is either excessive nexting to find a collector raid for 200+ or using a moderately expensive army to raid a mediocre 100+ then there is a problem.

I was playing under the old loot system, but my base and the game has changed so much in the last year, it's impossible for me to say whether I would prefer the old system now. Personally I quite like being able to find more that 200k in storages.

Fact : People always remember the old days more fondly - This doesn't mean we should bring them back.

The old system, you would find 200/200 quite regularly. In the storages. 4 of them. Only time you would find more was an inactive. So, same problem, but with more nexting because they have to be holding twice as much to show 200/200.
Awful lot of rose tinted glasses being worn regarding old loot system.

I quit several months back (here bored as the PS3 game Dust 514 has a 30 minute downtime now) because of the stupid easy-mode updates the implemented, and the loot problem for us TH10's
