Just kidding dont do that, unless u have like, 100,000 dollars in hand right at this moment. but really though here is how to get past TH9 fast and easy with no stress.


First off, DONT upgrade your golems. lvl ones or twos work just fine until TH10. u need them to stay cheep for DE farming. you need all that DE for your heros, you wanna max them out first, and one of the best ways to do that (if you don't want to lose a bucket load of trophies) is GoWiPe. and if you have max TH9 golems it will be MUCH less efficient. plus max heros makes you look good to clans and makes you better in clan wars.


Next you wanna focus on offense, rather then defense. Clans don't really care if your base gets three stared, cuz everyone knows that that just happens and there is nothing you can do about it. Although, clans will kick you out for bad war attacks. You need to know that Lavaloonion dominates in TH9, so focus on upgrading your balloons and minions, lava hounds can wait as their max lvl for TH9 is lvl 2 and there is not much of a difference between lvl 1 and lvl 2. And it is very expensive. Also max your army camps and your CC. Don't be afraid to ask for high lvl troops, like bowlers. TH9 can hold 5 bowlers in the cc and mix that with a GoWiPe and you are sure to 3 star almost any base, but don't let that go to your head, it still requires some practice to perfect.


if you have the gold and extra builders, go ahead and get those x-bows while you are doing the previous steps, they are the most useful defense in TH9 and will help protect that tasty DE.


Make sure you max your Elixer troops before your dark troops, most dark troops either take a lot of skill to use or are just not that useful in TH9. maxing your witches is not that important, nor are valks or as previously stated, lava hounds. At least just not right away. eventually you will want to max these as your clan mates may request for these troops and the higher the lvl they are the less likely you are to get kicked for donating lvl one hogs, HAH, I would remove you from my clan faster then you can say "oops, my bad, sry bro, misclicked". I hate those.


next focus on air defense, cuz if you have been in TH8 for any length of time you know that MassDrags dominate TH8 and you want to remove the possibility of getting three stared in war by MassDrags ASAP. early TH9 is still wrecked by this strat. and when I say air defense I don't just mean the actual air defenses, I mean get those air sweepers, turn your x-bows to air and ground and max those air traps cuz this is war baby.


and then after that you probably wanna max those walls but it really doesn't matter what you do from there, max TH9 cannons and archer towers don't really have and significant advantage over max TH8 defenses, so it doesn't matter what order you upgrade them in. After that you just wanna focus on what is left. max those dark troops, get those wiz towers up, they are good. Mortars are not really that helpful but u wanna get those eventually. and once you are done with that get ready for TH10 where MassMiners dominate and there is nothing you can do about it.

I disagree with a few tips here.

If you want to max at TH9, then you want to focus on de for heroes. If you leave dark troops until the end, when heroes are very expensive, then that means you can't keep the heroes upgrading while saving for a de lab upgrade. Easier to do de lab upgrades when heroes are cheap and small. I agree that big golems, valks and witches are not super useful at th9, and you generally don't want to build armies that cost 5k de or more before your heroes are maxed, but if you're going to max TH9 you need to do these troops sometime, and best to do them when they won't interfere with your heroes.

With DE focus, you should absolutely not be using golems or any other de troop for farming.

I agree with doing elixir buildings first and dumping gold into walls, and then switching, spending gold on defenses and dumping extra elixir into walls. This also eases the transition into high elixir cost armies later in th9 when your need for de makes you want to be hitting th10s (because you can get more from them). I would not worry about taking too long to max walls; instead I'd worry about maxing walls too fast and not having a place to dump extra resources. (At that point I'd rush to 10 but that violates the goal of the guide, which is to max 9.)
