There will be a developers video in 2 weeks, and in that video the release date will be revealed. Source: Darian’s AMA :).

hey with all the reductions, i think its a real possibility
albeit not by june, that was an exaggeration yes. but very possibly by the end of the year
to put it into context, heroes can be maxed easily in 6 months currently for th10 lvl from scratch
lab on the other hand needs about a year
thats because youre stuck on the idea of maxxing
look back at th9, th8, th7, blah blah blah. think of the loot u used to raid then 300k each? 400k each? 3k de?
compare that with th10 loot. sure it could take 7-8 months from a maxed th9, without magic items
with magic items, i would say 6 months at most.
th8 n th7 would take even less time to max with th10 loot levels, and dont even bother mentioning lower ths
the problem with your thinking is that youre thinking in terms of the lousy loot levels at lower THs, the only thing restricting maxxing th10 more quickly is the LAB, which takes about a year
You got a whole new TH level like a half year ago? What do you expect, an update everyday? Jesus Christ... Beside that, there’s a big event coming in the next months, specially made for people like you. Gather some maxed players as well and join the ESL tournament.
I and a bunch of others already explained why this is a good update, I won’t bother repeating again and again what’s already been mentioned several times.
And as so many people, including Darian have stated already: the clouds fix is underway but not this update. Whining about it won’t help you or others in the clouds. Meanwhile there’s an easy fix if you want to find bases quicker: drop some trophies. And if you don’t want that (I understand), then you just got to be patient.
Rage Spell cost 33.000 elixir not 31.000
Sorry, why is this bad for top players? Top players don't have any disadvantage with this happening. It doesn't impact their game at all. It's positive for newer players, and neutral for top players. If anything, top players have an advantage, as they are more experienced in the many tactics and nuances of the game. There is going to be more th12s with less experienced clashers. Sure this applies to your own clanmates, but it will apply to every other clan too. Top clashers will still be valuable. But anyway, my question remains: Why is this bad for top players? And how does this outweigh the benefits (ie. a healthy game)?
Your suggestion isn't any better: can you imagine the uproar if supercell lowered the gem costs? All the people who paid their way will feel cheated.
As I stated before, I don’t think players should get their resources back. That said...
Is it wrong to be “selfish” in a competitive game? Some players like not only having the “new toys” from the upper halls, they like being more upgraded than other players. Even before CWL gave you a real benefit for being more upgraded and even for players that don’t care about trophy pushing, many players play the game to upgrade and see it as a bit of a competition to be more upgraded than others. Then, of course, on top of that we have CWL and trophy pusheing where there is a real advantage to being more upgraded.
So, again, what is wrong with players wanting to be more upgraded than others and not wanting millions of other players to suddenly have a year of upgrading (I just made that time frame up, but considering all reductions not just this one it probably has been more than a year) knocked off their journey overnight? I see nothing wrong at all for trophy pushers to not approve of players less upgraded than them suddenly catching up. The same goes for CWL.
Also, with books, potions and medals, it doesn’t take all that long to upgrade to th12 now anyway compared to upgrading to the old “max” before that stuff all existed.
In answer to your question of would I like to start this game knowing it would take years to upgrade? Yes. In fact, I recently started another new account. Playing the game involves upgrading. That is part of the fun. However, I do understand SC’s concern about new players who know little to nothing about the game being worried about that time frame. That is why I also understand and am ok with the changes.
I don’t like the selfish argument or the comparison to purchasing products because this is, after all, a competitive game.
Does that mean I think there should be refunds of the resources? No. That would be exactly the opposite of what SC is trying to accomplish with the reductions.
If SC thinks it is needed to keep the game going for a long time, then it probably is a good idea. I don’t want the game to end. So, I’m fine with it.
