Should i really go for lvl 9 walls?
As for now i am just farming gold, and when its full, I am going for DE, not spending anything on walls... It works very well, already upgrading AQ to 5, and all my buldiers are busy

Yes, it looks intimidating for lower th or equal (unless they use hogs & balloonion). Work best with heroes lv higher than 10 and th outside.
Is there a point of diminishing returns on walls?

I think the lvl of your walls reflects how good a farmer you are.. They really are just visual after a certain lvl?
