Since SC have all the data. Can they reveal some data to support their upgrade

I am really wondering if anyone from SC is reading the forum. I understand I am just another insignificance player who can be ignored, that I am most willing to accept. But did they not see the frustration of so many others gamers? Can't they come in and post something to calm the raw nerve of many of these gamers? Especially in those sticky thread that they had created themselves.

SuperSteve did came in a few hours back with 2 comments but information about the update is clearly lacking in the posts. After that, it is just silence again.

I truly believed SC is working its hardest to examine the data and figure where to adjust to make the loot better. But in term of the public relation side, they are clearly lacking. A few comments on SC with periodically update on the progress should do wonder in calming down the angry crowd we have here.

Hopefully SC will consider stepping up in the PR front as well.

Thank you for the wonderful game and I really believed you are still working to make the update work.


P.S. Any mod willing to help me on changing the title. I tried but it did not work... There is a typo. The word should be "update", not "upgrade". Many Thanks:o

They don't need to, they have the data, if the bases are low, they adjust, SC doesn't have to show us anything.

Much like other gaming companies, SC knows the value of holding all the cards.

Indeed they do have the statistics and could very easily produce the numbers to the playerbase which would either support or disprove their changes but will they ever produce them?? Very unlikely, and why? Quite simply...cause they don't have to.

The bottom line is the only "statistic" SC cares about and quite rightly (seeing as they are a business) is how much profit the game generates. If this statistic has not changed since the loot changes then why would they allow us access to potentially damaging information which could lessen their profits??

Clash of clans is a cash cow it will be milked until its inevtiably replaced by a better product, it's not world of Warcraft, it won't be here 10 years from now. I think sometimes the forums expects a little too much from what is a humble mobile phone game...although I can certaintly relate to the communities frustrations with SC.

Their data is probably some guy at the office doing a few raids and posting it on excel.

Yeah and also i think they might not want to show all the stats cause if it showed where all the loot is at (trophy range and such) then everyone would change to that level and upset the balance?just a thought?

Even if they don't wish to share the data, it is totally understandable. I'm just creating another platform where they can communicate with the gamers regarding the update. Though it is clearly redundant as they already have 2 official sticky threads but I thought they might be reluctant to comment over there due to the hostile environment.

The gamers are clearly unhappy over the updates and many experienced gamers had also give many well thought out feedbacks on it. What many are hoping are just someone from SC to come out periodically to inform the gamers that their feedback is being heard and they are working on getting the update. Some facts giving can also back up the update reports. Timely updates and comments definitely will help to sooth some gamers mood.

Supersteve and Marika did come out a few times but its far too little. The period between each communication is also too far apart. The 2 comments that Supersteve made earlier do not have any concrete updates and certainly did not help. Not blaming him but the fact is everyone is anxious to hear from SC and his comment and the way it is convey across is certainly not nerve calming...

Just my point of view. Really hope SC not only take care of the technical side of the game, but also understand the gamers and their anxiety...

maybe they'll give it to you if you pay them $$

As I said in my original post I relate and understand your frustrations with SC, I really do because I have the same frustrations.

Whilst I am in agreement that SC does not communicate with the playerbase very well at all, I think you may do best serving your frustrations in asking yourself why they dont and whilst doing that make sure to not to set your expectations too high with SC.

If this was a big complex game intended for the pc and console gaming market with years of development and then sold at retail prices and promising so much but failing to deliver then I would be like the many others here creating threads expressing my disdain towards the product. However as this is a free game, that is free to play, has free content updates and makes me happy more often than it makes me sad...despite all it's flaws I chose to just get on with it by lowering my expectations.

Do I think SC could do more with the community and with the game?? 100% yes absolutely...do I think they actually will?? Probably not and as a result I sleep better at night.

Unfortunately I disagree with this kind of thinking. Are you saying because its a free product, the service provider can get away with shoddy or not up to par service standard. Let say if I volunteer my service to an organization, can I tell the organization not to expect too much from me as I am doing it for free? I will not as it is against my work ethic. If I do something for someone, I will put in my best effort.

Also SC is not really providing a free product. What they are offering is a service, and hoping you will buy their paid version of their service if you are pleased with their free version. We are all their potential customers(at least I had already bought some gems), shouldn't SC try not to please this potential customers instead of angering them?

Anyway, its SC call. They can do what they think is best for them. What we can only do is feedback and hope for the best results.

P.S. Thank you very much for your insights. I am glad that although I had not hear anything from SC, but I do hear some constructive comments from a fellow gamers. Your post is greatly appreciated.
