Indeed they do have the statistics and could very easily produce the numbers to the playerbase which would either support or disprove their changes but will they ever produce them?? Very unlikely, and why? Quite simply...cause they don't have to.
The bottom line is the only "statistic" SC cares about and quite rightly (seeing as they are a business) is how much profit the game generates. If this statistic has not changed since the loot changes then why would they allow us access to potentially damaging information which could lessen their profits??
Clash of clans is a cash cow it will be milked until its inevtiably replaced by a better product, it's not world of Warcraft, it won't be here 10 years from now. I think sometimes the forums expects a little too much from what is a humble mobile phone game...although I can certaintly relate to the communities frustrations with SC.
