I have been farming for months and i decided to start pushing after i maxed out th9. I was at 2.5m elixir 3 days ago and now i am at master 3 with just 400k of elixir. I just failed 3 attacks and i am using giants + wizards. I am not even using pekkas or drags i guess i would run out of elixir the day i started pushing if i did use all tier 3 troops. Do you really think cost/income is balanced?
I run into the same problem everytime I trophy push. I try to save up as much elixer/dk elixer before I start but I always run out.....Quote:

the problem is costs are higher than income and it is non sense. i am not using like 7 pekkas. i am just using giants and wizards. maxing elixir before hunting won't have any effect after a week of trophy hunting.
I'm a TH7 and I'm pushing to Crystal I with Dragons + Lightning Spells. It's worked fine before the loot change since almost every base I found had more than 200k of each resource which could pay for my army and fund wall upgrades. Now, almost every base I find has 20k-50k of each resource and I lost quite a bit post-update (though I was raiding extensively while pushing for Crystal II). :P But the secret to my survival are the collectors. I have all my collectors maxed and under my 12 hour shield I can earn 3000*12*6=216000 of each resource which allows me to fund my army and my upgrades if I attack one time between each of my 12 hour shields since I lose most of my defenses. :P
I've found that using bam or barch up to 2300 trophies will help you preserve your elixir to make your big push.
