Why won't I get a Xmas Tree?

My clanmate has 4, and I have none.:( I'm very sad.

Although Christmas isn't nearly over yet... I've come to the calm conclusion that I won't be getting one. :( I haven't checked every single person in my clan, out of the ones I have checked, about 7 of them a tree.

It probably doesn't help me checking every 5 minutes either. Supposing that's the time it's supposed to spawn!?
The people who have them, seem to have been inactive for about 2 days.
Then ta-da! they have a tree.

you probably have too much foliage in your village, i think the less obstacles you have the higher the chance the tree will spawn

I haven't got one. Even if I had, I'd still chop that ugly tree off immediately anyway.
