How does elixir get inside elixir storages?

Guys I just noticed THERE IS A CORK on the lower elixir storages!!! Supercell must've first started off trying to make it logical but then they were just like screw it xD

Lets not get technical.

Moving pumps and gold mines around will generate you more because the ground will dry up of those resources otherwise.

Here's an idea, Let's say 5 Barbarians, 7 Archers and 10 goblins are all attacking one elixer storage and every strike untill it is destroyed these troops will soke up the elixer like a sponge and then when the battle (if you watch your troops they burst into elixer bubbles) ends when they burst all that elixer floats through the air to your base and then it gobs through the pump on the storage and is then in your storage.
