Lost 338 dark elixir to a china player with th8 when I have th7 only

I was recently raided by a town hall level 8 player from China and lost 338 precious dark elixir. From past experiences, in gold 1, whenever I attack town hall level 9 or 10 players, never have I encountered one where I could potentially gain that much. And from what I know, the dark elixir percentage that can be looted is very low, even more so when my attacker is of higher town hall level than me. So can someone please help me with this situation ie. explaining how the hell this happened whereby I lost 338 dark elixir, which I have gained over more than 20-30+ attacks, just lost like that to this chinese player. I'm really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about this

Man, I can already see the flamers coming out on this one so you better hold on to your hat because it's probably going to get ugly for you.

I'm not sure how you are in gold I and have never seen 338 DE available. That is really a low amount of DE to take or to lose. You better get used to the fact that you are going to lose DE in this game and you just need to farm better and faster to be able to keep it. There are a ton of guides on this forum on how to farm DE so just do some searching and don't worry when you get attacked and lose it.

But seriously, 338 is really not much to lose at all. With the new loot system i usually have 350K gold and elix up for grabs to attackers. DE is hard to come by at TH 7, but losing resources is just part of the game. It is frustrating, I know, but you will be losing much more than that if you keep progressing in the game. Just watch the replay to find where your defense failed and try to plug the holes if possible. And, if it bothers you that much and you wanna get the guy back, just lightning the ♥♥♥♥ out of his DE storage 😼

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it, that is very common.

How did you find no DE at gold 1? Gold 1 is one of the best spots to raid DE. 338 is hardly anything to lose- the highest record taken from someone was around 7,000. Besides, DE is hardly relevant at TH7. DE is much easier to come by at higher town halls.

I think supercell needs to balance DE raiding more. My friend took 3k with 4 arch from drills :/
