Festive Spirit

Dear Supercell,

*Sigh*, I have waited with baited breath ALL year for a Crimbletide bush in my village. I have looked at the retro 2012 trees with great jealousy as I cut down the solitary one you gave me last year. BUT it appears that you have randomised me out of the Christmas tree list :( I watch and read the glees of delight from my fellow clan mates as they get ANOTHER tree and lob down their spares just for the giggle. I look forlornly at my village and its lack of true festiveness....

So, with great sadness, I am going on a coc strike until a tree appears in my village. I fear I will not be able to celebrate the season until I get one.

*stamps foot* - how do I get a tree!! Give me a tree!! :-)

SPace? I wasn't thinking of a six footer... although a super big one would make up for my disappointment...

I mean that there is a limit how many trees you can have in your village. If your village has grown full of other trees and bushes, the christhmash tree wont appear?

Ah! Yes. But I send in handsome gardeners who have pruned my village to within an inch of its life. I have nothing stopping a bush from growing... I even cleared up the christmas parcels santa dropped... just in case.

*sigh*... just checked. Still no tree. Not even a mushroom with a Christmas Fairy perched on the top..... I am feeling very bah humbug now :-(

Dear Julia,

If someone has earned their X-Mas tree, it's you. I wish I could affect the randomness of X-Mas tree spawning, so that you could get the 2013 edition, but as you know it's not possible. You probably know this already, but every time a new tree, bush, mushroom or tree trunk is about to spawn, there's a small chance that it'll be an X-Mas tree. So keep that handsome gardner busy and take out all regular ones :)

Oh! I was so excited to see your reply Marika. My heart leapt as I clicked open the message, hoping you'd say..."There there Julia, I have sent you 20 Xmas trees to line your village's cul de sacs and avenues".

Perhaps you could pop some tinsel in my builders hands and they could wrap it around my flag poles? Or maybe some cans of silly string? (you know what devils those boys can be after they have few days idle)

And the villagers have no Santa hats either. Such a digression. The xmas marketing is lacking

As a regular gemmer I have stopped all gemming until I get a tree. I am prepared to not play this game until I get one, even if it takes years...

I want one too. I check my base frequently. Zoom in and scan the outer edges for a tree. Yesterday I even got rid of a bunch of bushes, logs and normal trees in hope I'd get one.

Instead every time I remove a corner shrub, I just get another.....

I'll be a little peeved if I don't get one lol

Julia, you are not alone...

I too am waiting with baited breath for a 2013 X-Mas tree to appear.

My Clanmates get great glee out of boasting about how many they have received knowing their fearless leader has had none. Zilch. Nada.

Little eleven year old Emily has had 5 so far I think, my wife has had 3 (2 remaining), both my daughters have received them (the teenager chopped hers down, the younger child is very protective of hers), and I seem to be getting nothing but snow on my village...

I kept my village lawn free of debris, then tried letting everything grow wild again. Nothing has worked so far. I have gone back to pruning every bush and poisonous mushroom off the village green. I redesigned my entire Castle to tighten up the building density to allow more available green space.

I even went so far tonight as to sell all but two of my flags (kept a rally flag to point to my wide open TH and just could not sell Old Glory) to clear extra space just in case. I had every non-gemmed flag too... The exchange rate was just awful. Hopefully some of the profits from the Returns section of the CoC Decorations Department will go to Toys for Goblins or the Home for Wayward Archers...

I have been collecting all the Santa Strike presents even though my Clan and our Feeder Clan are having a contest to see who can have the most unopened presents by midnight on Xmas Eve.

Saturday I will chop down all the flower beds.
Sunday I may sacrifice some KFC just to be able to roll some chicken bones.

Save the flowers. Cut Julia and I a break.

All I want for Xmas is a single freaking Xmas tree!

I have 2 xmas trees in my base, u are welcome to stop by and take one tree back to ur base if u want, but my resources are off limit, u cant take that :rolleyes:
