There were some long war search times last month. Some clans were searching for over 24 hours in the Champs Leagues.

wasn't really paying attention, but so quick it must have been 2-5 mins in Crystal 2 at about an hour after start

Wow these reports seem fast, almost too fast to avoid collusion. I will update with our Masters1 search later when we get a match.

Looks like our first match could have 15 TH12s against out 10 TH12s and 5 TH11s. I'm ready for the challenge, but I hope our 11s are ready as well. Master 2 might be our sweet spot, but we will see how this season goes.

It looks like Champs is still long, so perhaps it was adjusted to worry more about collusion where it would matter more (although I think it is bad anywhere). On the other hand, maybe it is just due to the much larger numbers of clans searching lower. It would be interesting to experiment with two clans searching at exactly the same time in the same tier to see if they are matching or not.Quote:

Both of our clans took minutes. Very surprised and a bit worried.... what happened with the 'measures' against things like searching at the same time in the same tier to see if two friendly clans could join in the same group and such?
About 10 minutes for Champs 3
Gold 1 - less than 5 minutes max. I logged off after starting but we were matched before I came back on a few minutes later.

5 minutes or so on our side in Masters II while in past seasons it took about 1-2 hours

Crystal I - IDK how long exactly, maybe 2 minutes, maybe 3, maybe 1. It was Very quick. previous in Crystal II it was also almost instant. We did this search at 5pm Eastern (NY time)
When our main clan was in Masters I and searched for the league that took us into Champs III, it was well over 12 hours. HOWEVER, it should be noted we started that search very late. We just figured most had matched already and it was taking time simple to gather the other M1 clans.

I’m going to take a good guess here and say that champion 1 clans will all take the 2 days spin time and all be matched randomly at once at the end of the 2 day period to avoid any possible sister clan matching (there are 2 in the dark clans) not sure how many other clans have 2 or more clans in champs 1, but you wouldn’t want any match fixing in the top tier.

Do you mean in war or in the clan? We included the whole clan in war, but some of them cannot war this month - so the clan lineup does not have anything to do with what you will face in war.Quote:

For war we are 2 th12, 5 th11, 4 th10, 3 th9, 1 th8 - but it won't stay that way :)

We are in champs 2. We ran search for 6 hours and had to abandon it since the start time would have been midnight for most of the clan. SC fix this! There has got to be enough clans to have a good pool to avoid any potential collusion within a couple hours.
why stop it? Even if the start time is inconvenient, you still have 24 hours to complete, regardless of when it starts. The only advantage is seeing whether there are lower villages with no stars, but even that you can deal with.
Restarting is not a good idea, because you never know how long you will have to start next time!

Ugh, no time at all - not sure if it is because we went to Crystal I.
We like to start wars around 10pm eastern - our last two CWLs battle day started around 2am and the one of those we started the search at 8pm.
We started it at 7pm last night and it took less than an hour - maybe more are looking at that time. That's gonna hurt our # of attacks, I'm sure of it.

Started search one hour ago and surprisingly got a match within 10 minutes in Master 3.
Champion 2
Still searching..over 14 hours now
Champ3, search found in about 12hrs.
Thus far for Masters League II we have been waiting for one hour and five minutes. We searched at 8:45PM Eastern Standard Time.

3 different clans we had:
Crystal 1 took 8 minutes (We made a new clan for our 9s, 10s and 11s so it was a fresh entry)
Crystal 2 took 5 minutes.
Masters 1 took 12 minutes.
All we first day between 9am and 1pm (Eastern time).
9+ hours and stil running. Champ 2

Restarting doesn't help, does it? you will restart the process with a much smaller pool.
The last few teams get put in a smaller group, if there is an odd number then one may miss out as there cannot be an odd number in a group.
Based on the initial descriptions from the release notes, as there is no ‘matchmaker’ for cwl, I’d advise to not stop the search and let it run until the end. All clans in a league are supposed to be matched with other clans if they start a search. It is not like clan war, where the matchmaker tries to find adequate opponents. In cwl, the only criteria is the league. The duration of the search has been described as a anti-collusion measure.
So let it run.
During the first cwl, months ago, someone posted a match with less than 8 clans, I think it was 5 or 6. So, the solution to the 8-multiplier in a league, is that the ‘rest’ match will be a smaller (if needed) group.Quote:

Smaller pools of clans is a possible outcome and the system tries to match as many clans as possible.
This in itself also causes matchmaking delays and restarting search doesn’t do anything to help your clan find a match faster.
In season 2 someone did report that their wait time after restarting was less than their wait time before restarting. I speculate that when they searched, the random amount of anti-collusion delay that was added was, by luck, smaller the second time.
