There is a whole sub forum devoted to strategic discussions. It's called Tactics, strategies and questions. All posts of this nature that are made in general are moved by moderators, so that's why you won't see them in general.

what happended is that SC didnt think this far with the updates ... they kind of went along with user suggestions and their own ideas .... this caused a lot of users to disagree with the new updates ... and thus the game has changed soo much

Well, for some, those types of threads were wrong in the first place.
There's no way I'm creating a base and coming here to show everyone, let alone write a thoroughly detailed explanation on how it works, it's strengths and weaknesses. Same for attacking/defending strategies.
I think that's an ego issue.

I do agree with the OP that general is... less constructive than it used to be. However, the Tactics sub forum is still quite enjoyable.

I think we just need to wait for the hubbub this update caused since i think it made a lot of angry players join the forum and they are not done being angry- plus the non-angry people have become angry (at least irritated) at the the angry people making more angry people. at some point people will stop remembering what they were so upset over, the angry shall leave and the rest of us can get back to a more civilized general.

If SC didn't use their own ideas or user suggested ideas where would their ideas for updates come from?
