Well, having been on the forums a long time, I can add that this just isn't original, sorry. Long ago, people forumed about entire colour changes, and design, so you could have white bases, black bases, pink bases etc, where the colour map was changeable, or that all clan members would have a colour theme. It was a non-starter, sadly. I would love to see such a feature as yours, but if it ain't going big, it ain't going anywhere.

Your first idea is just too fiddly. The personalisation of troops is always going to be about the mix of troops you put in your army, not the specific stats. Spells add the infinite possibilty.
