barch has still been working for me
Giant/healer with support from archers/goblins
i was th 8 for around 4 months... i was a preemi but i used arch and gob nothing else so i could use a couple of them hit all the collectors and run, constantly raiding if you keep 2 barracks full of gobs and 2 full of arch... good luck.
Im TH9 now, but barch has always been my favorite.
I'm just doing a mixture of archers, some giants , wb and barbs hah, working well slowly but meh.. Thanks for sharing your armies guys

By the time you return from a raid your camp fills up fast and it's a relatively original strategy.
Also, I find it very easy to control trophy range with this composition.
Right now I am farming around 1700 trophy range.
