What is Sick Cafe?
The Cafe is an international clan of English fluent clashers of all ages and play styles that come together in a fun yet simply managed environment to enjoy the game. Founded Jan-1-2016, our brand of humor and cast of characters are unique and many past members come back again after a break from the game.
What "type" of clan is Sick Cafe?
We are a hybrid war clan and casual farming/social clan. Many "war clans" micro-manage the smallest details, have a socially dry and elitist feel to them and play favorites for promotions. Our war approach is very competitive and serious, yet non-judgmental if you struggle and we place a lot of control in your hands to make your own decisions.
For those who do not war, we are a home to many active members who donate, farm and request, do clan games and/or are social. We find the war members benefit from the farming crowd and vice versa. Between troop donations for war attacks, chats on improving attack strategy and farming better, and comic relief, everyone is happy!
Tell me more about the Cafe's war culture?
War is optional. We hold a 50 vs. 50 (or all-clan war) for fun 1-2 times a month. We have a very independent war approach that is team-based and leaderless. We highly encourage people to think for themselves (we trust that you can make good decisions.)
- YOU pick what base to attack - that's right!, we trust that you can be realistic with your own strengths and weaknesses. In general, we suggest going below mirror (as low as you need to) and pick a base you know you will 3 star. Leave the challenging bases (even if they are your mirror) to teammates higher up. 2 star attacks are a waste.
- We expect you to learn and practice map-awareness. "What should I hit?" is something you can find out for yourself by looking at the map and seeing who has attacks left, and then seeing what clean up (if any) is needed. If everything below you is 3 starred, work your way up. (See, you don't need a Co-Leader to figure this stuff out!)
- ALWAYS use 2 Attacks and Attack Early in War. "There is no one I could have 3 starred anyway," "We already have the best score and won." "My attack wouldn't have mattered", etc. is no excuse. In fact, that lax attitude makes future failure likely when we are matched to tough clans. We fight our hardest each war therefore we require a 2 attack commitment no matter what.
- We help those who help themselves. Yes, our members can and do provide attack advice and opinions. We highly encourage you to educate yourself and visit Google, YouTube, Reddit, CoC Forums etc. to find good army comps for your TH, war bases, tutorials on how to funnel troops, instruction for attack strategy, etc.
Requirements to Join & Misc.
Non Rushed - TH7 with level 2 dragons. Most of your walls and lab upgrades from the previous Town Hall should be max. If your base has heavy defenses (X-Bows, Infernos, Eagle) then your heroes should be a decent level.
Active - There are no donation ratios for troops. Active farmers request troops a few times a day minimum and are always working on leveling their base and lab. Active war players fight in war often (TH9+ whenever queen is up). Clan games and social folks put points up on the scoreboard and are seen in the chat. If you are looking for a clan to join to park your village in and barely interact or at least request troops, keep your search moving. We are not looking for filler.
- There are no applications or interviews to join. Just request to join in game and apply with a "Saw you on the forums" and your location.
- We use the Discord app, but it is not required to join.
- Joining with additional alt account(s) are a privilege that is earned by good war performance.
- Promotions are merit, activity, and/or war based. I originally found this clan on Reddit and joined without knowing anyone. I have served in each role from member to leader. If you have leadership qualities, there are opportunities here to work your way up.
