Every village that i can attack (and win) is give me 3 trophies (they are lvl 5 TH). The others I can't attack because im always lose and they give me 12-25 trophies (they are lvl 6 TH)..
And I have:
- 135 Troop capacity.
- lvl 3 every troop until wizard.
- lvl 6 TH.
Im using for every attack:
- 11 Giants.
- 5 Goblins (to be sure that there are no traps in the village)
- 4 Wall Breackers.
- 71 Archers.

I started with 5 giants, 8 wall breakers, rest archers.
Now i prefer 50 barbs, 8 wall, rest archers. Barbs are cheaper, faster to build, more DPS, and have more of them for the Defense to shoot at while a giant, 4 defenses can focus on it at once and 2 shot it. (i have 185 army camp 4 camps) so you will have to adjust accordingly.
Simplest advice is to go for the town hall via the weakest point. Concentrate your attack. If you happen to kill town hall, then try for the rest if you want.
Too many people attack me and spread out their troops, a few here, a few there. When they all die, they repeat the process, and fail again. No, only concentrated attacks have any consequences against higher level defenses.
Alternatively, if you can get 50% damage without breaking a single wall (if all of their non-defensive building are outside wall), just kill all the buildings and get your star that way.
Try all archers if you want trophies.
3 weeks player, th7, archers all the way, good for steal and attack...
Being a beginner myself, I think the mistake a lot of us make is trying to go for the 3 star victory and ending up with nothing. I agree it is better to be more strategic and pick an objective over just spamming units and hoping for the best once you start chasing trophies by either punching a hole to push for the TH star, or picking off buildings to get the 50% star. It is definitely a grind once you hit that wall where no matter what, you are only picking off a few trophies at a time. But, so are the majority of players, so we are all in the same boat ^___^
