Do we know what the tie breakers are yet for CWL?
Will the war stars earned during CWL will just add up in your player profile or there will be a separate stat for it?
Thank you Supercell for the new artwork on the archer tower...MUCH better!!
Is the countdown that's showing up for the CWL event the opt in period or did I already miss it? We were in the middle of a war when update dropped.
You missed what I consider the most important part of your answer. Yes, you will likely be outmatched until you reach your appropriate tier level where you are likely to remain at the middle of the pack until your skill/development allows you to go higher. The same thing applies if you seed yourself lower than you should, You will likely win a few seasons until you reach your appropriate tier level where you are likely to remain at the middle of the pack until your skill/development allows you to go higher.
If you step back a bit and look at the bigger picture, rather than just the first couple of seasons, everyone will reach a balance point sooner or later. You can try to muck with how long it takes you to get to that balance, but in the end everyone will get there. It can either be a painful process or folks can stop looking at only the next match and/or their win ratio and start to embrace the new world where the tier you can achieve and hold is the indicator of skill/progress and nothing else.
There is no base reward for being on the roster.
In other words, if you are in a clan in which you don't attack and they do not win a single war your net medals will be zero. You are completely reliant on your clanmates winning.
There are way too many variables to calculate, especially since we don't know where the dividing line will be for the different tiers. However, from what I can see it appears to be better reward wise to be in a slightly lower tier if you can swing it and winning wars rather than being in a higher tier and losing all your wars. In particular if you are not actually earning any rewards (or even very few if you are splitting time) from gaining stars.
The current system seems heavy in favour of splitting up clans. It also appears quite important to only play your top 15 people as subbing in a lower TH will almost certainly result in a war loss and possibly cost everyone in your clan medals.
On the other hand, if staying lower is more rewarding perhaps it is good to lose one of those wars, badly. Everyone goes for 2 stars only, stops before getting 3, get some star bonus but lose the war and hopefully not get enough stars to get promoted to the next tier. The lower hall players could do that to get some star medals. It sounds like farming and not like fun, though.
