Is this game actually worth playing?

Hay Day is by far my favorite game but am really starting to rethink my decision on continuing to play this game. I have spent over $500 for decos, gems, etc. and we can’t even get what the community asks for. I trade, participate in a lot of discussion at many different communities and it’s seems like I’m not the only one feeling this. This game lacks updates and supposedly the developers read through a lot of the stuff on the forums, but I doubt that because I never see what we are requesting for. In all honesty Hire more people for your team! It takes days for a reply when you contact support, we get updates what seems like only 3-4 times a year and it’s never anything very exciting, and most importantly FIX the issue of bots. When I flip through the paper it’s not a surprise if I find 5-8 bot farms. Like seriously you guys have made 2.3 BILLION dollars as a company and this is what we get?!

I agree about the bots. But I also know it’s difficult to keep them under control. There is always going to be people trying to cheat. I also agree with the quality of the updates. I’ve been playing over four years and have noticed the change in the updates. They used to be exciting and something to look forward to with wonderful game play features. Now it just seems like they are only trying to find ways for diamond sinks. It kinda seems like hayday started going downhill when SC sold to the conglomerate. Coincidence?

It totally is a diamond suck. Boat booster event back to back weeks, which I did happened to spend 500 diamonds but got some awesome boosters. We have a wheel of fortune event like I don’t even want to go there. All these Global events require so many diamonds, especially town and boat, and I trade with those top people that participate in these events and it’s amazing the great attitude they have towards the event because I would never be able to do it.

Yes, the game is worth playing. A bit less so for old/very old players that have seen it all. But for new players, it is awesome. They get the fully upgraded game to enjoy from day one. Just by reading old posts about how was the game looking in it's old days makes my skin crawl with horror ☺

I must agree but with chess, there was nothing wrong with the game and everyone loved/loves playing it to this day. I get your point but I once heard, If there’s something wrong change it if there’s nothing wrong leave it and in the case of Hay Day there’s many things that are wrong.b

I am of the opinion that everyone will go thru periods when they ask themselves “am I getting enough out of (whatever activity or hobby)” and will think about quitting no matter the investment of time and/or money.

I have been playing HayDay for nearly 5 years and have slowed down my playing hours at times, or changed what my personal goals are, just to help keep the game interesting for ME. After all, that is what is important.

Any company, no matter the size, is never going to be able to please every player. I have seen suggestions here on the forum, that if implemented may make me consider taking a long break. And I have seen many more suggestions that are implemented and have made the game more enjoyable. So to say that the team does not listen to the players is a bit unfair. The changes that are made need to work with what TeamHD see in the future for the game. How one change effects other parts of the game and game play in general need to be carefully thought out.

The 3-4 updates each year takes time and creativity. I would rather have a well thought out update, than just miscellaneous stuff that doesn’t make sense or makes playing less enjoyable.

In reference to the bot issue, yes there is a problem, one the SC works to combat vigorously. However, as soon as some are shut down more appear. It is a never ending issue with all games. And if you see in the DD what you believe to be bot farms, take a screenshot and report it thru in-game support. Some bots are more easily detected by a human than an automated program that searches for them. If one of the buyer bots pays a visit to your RSS, take a screenshot of it before you pick up your coins, and report it. I’m not saying it’s the solution, but it certainly cannot hurt.

Overall, for a game that can and is played for FREE, HayDay offers many hours and years of enjoyment. It’s a game. If you are spending real money it is because you choose to, not because it is necessary to progress in the game.

it's always been proven, the richer people are the more they still wants, it never stops...

I think it’s worth playing, or I would simply stop.

Ive been playing almost 3 years and still really enjoy it. I rarely buy diamonds, have maybe spent a total of $30 on them. I play just for fun and am not a super competitive player, and enjoy the NH I’m in too. Level 110.

To me, yes it is OP. I can't think of any game I've stuck with for as long as I have HD, and I have games sat waiting, on all the usual platforms, growing old, cos I'm just playing HD.

Without question I've spent more than I should have... My weakness is decos and I'm less likely to moan about game flaws but gimme bad (to me) decos and I'm the first in line to complain!

It's an addiction. But it's fun, can be relaxing, and to me is just a game I play when I'm in the mood, with the added advantage of decos!

What's not to like?:) Perhaps I'm easily pleased but, I just ignore the parts I don't like, and stick with the parts I do.

Taken like that, yes, it's actually worth playing imo.

Which conglomerate? Softbank bought Supercell in 2013 and sold it to Tencent in 2016.
