Weird Moments
Do you ever feel so weird that sometimes you get attached to other farms? You don't know them and they don't know you, but you help each other alot and stuffs..
Today I'm very happy I'm finally being in-game-friend with one of my old following. I left the game mid spring 2016 and when came back, I realized that most people in my following list are also left the game. Because now I can add them as friends, I added all eight of them as my in game friends and then unfollowed them because I need spaces in my following list. I also added some of my followers who love helping me and those who always sell rare stuffs.
Today when I woke up I looked at my friend list, I knew one of them finally accepted my request. I quickly visited her level 107 farm, she was building the flower shop and sanctuary book stand XD She also planted 3 of each new crops. We were never speak to each other, I don't know her, but she always helped me as I always helped her. Hey if you read this, I just want you to know, I'm happy you're playing again. :caticon:

Some players never ask for help and some always ask for help. I think most of us fall somewhere in-between. I've been playing hd for nearly 4 years and am fortunate to have many awesome, helpful friends and followers. (I'm glad I haven't deleted the ones that hadn't played for awhile, b/c most of them re-appear at my rss, or leave me a msg. even years later).
Last night I had the chance at my first gold trophy in the CL. On the final boat called, I needed 32 fresh pasta (I had 2, lol). One of my most helpful friends came to the rescue and I will finally win the gold! I thanked him profusely.
Anyway, it's great to help one another. It's what this game was meant to accomplish. Glad you found a supportive player!

Most of my friends bar was developed on instinct... having a good experience with random farms.
one of my friends was Japanese speaking only and their farm name was a 5 digit number. I did a search with gamecenter and their gamecenter ID was the same. They accepted my request.
i friended the other farmer in their hood and began a quest to get their names. They are kurara and nana

Whenever I see a farm (or a farm name) that I particularly like, I'll send a friend request. It's not necessarily based on what they have in their RSS. Sometimes I just like to visit good-looking farms. They make me smile.

I know what you mean, I once started to follow a high level farm and since then, that farm and I help each other, we are not in the same NH, we have never spoken and don’t think we would understand either, by the farm’s name is chinese, I don’t even know if it is a “he” or “she”, but somehow I feel attached to that farm, I don’t take things from its shop, but I will always always help it with the boat even if I end up having 0 products... it is weird :p

I definitely feel attached to my non NH friends. I always check and help all the friends I can, and when a friend helps me I always go right to their farm and help them right back if they need it. It's an interesting non verbal communication thing indeed!

I also have such a friend, Lena from Russia. Since a year or so, she's not playing anymore.I refuse to remove her, hoping she'll be back some day.We used to thank eachother for help by changing our farm name to "thx Lena"... Come back Lena!

Thank you for the replies. It is nice to know that I'm not alone in this situation. I thought it was me, silly me! 😅👍😂🐮

^^^Not on your own at all! I have two like this. Like deontri above, I have no idea on gender but their farm has Japanese characters for a name and I've been friends with them from nearly the beginning of my game.
Have only recently started back on doing boats (kinda, sorta) and without fail, on the rare occasions I flag, they pop up to help:)
Same with another player that I added a few weeks back. They literally force me to fill docked boats so they can help me back LOL..."open.i fill.much welcome" lol
These guys are Arab, I think? 🤔 Not a lick of a common language between us...cept hayday:)
Gotta love it:) (boaters rock, too!)
