Is there any posibility of a gold based unit in the future?

Maybe a "Titan" or something like that. Gold is the most common resource.

Then people would shorten it again to simple "G" and then come to the forum claiming they have hard time to spot it :)

If therewill be gold base troop then there should be gold based Hero called as God of thunder.

You used to need a lot more gold than elixir as well. Not sure that's still the case with the latest wall price reduction, but I see that as the main reasoning to not having gold troops. Besides, we do have sieges now.
