Let us use elixir to upgrade walls on the builder base. There is a huge imbalance between the uses of the two resources. Too much to use gold on and not enough to use elixir on. The easy fix is walls. I will soon have no use for elixir at all and everything I earn from vs battles or collectors will go to waste.
You can use elixir to upgrade walls on BB. The upgrade from 7 to 8 is available with both gold and elixir. The trick is to upgrade one wall segment to max at a time as opposed to upgrading them all equally.
Level 8 walls can be upgraded with elixir. You don't need to use elixir on walls until then.
If you're trying to max each builder hall level, you're doing it wrong. Rush to BH8 asap.
