Unfortunately the addition of new flags has been ruled out by Supercell because it would cause too much lag in the servers.

I would like to vote for the South African Flag to be added to the game. There are quite a lot of South African clans out there and our community will benefit and be happy if you add the South African flag to the game. The South African flag is also one of the best flags in the world and I'm sure it will be very popular among players.:cool::cool::cool:

Guys, this has been ruled out by Supercell, and there is no way that new country flags will be added, it simply creates too much lagg for the server to cope with. There is no point to keep replying and say "Please add this flag". The idea is ruled out and will not be considered by Supercell.
Apparently people here don't understand the phrases "ruled out" and " not gonna happen".

I really love to play this game (Clash of Clans) because it make me feel exciting and enjoy with it much. It not make me stress like another game that I used to play a few weeks than stop play. But I also want my country's flag (Cambodia's Flag) for my Clans too, i want to show another clans know us well while we competition.
In my country have people play this game a lot of, Their resentment, when they find don't see their flag.

There is simply no way that a tiny piece of graphics adds lag to the servers. I simply do not believe that!
In any case, even if this is true, there is a simple solution: add new flags but cap the number of flags that a player can have on the base. If the cap is set to be the current number of available flags, there won't be any issues with players being asked to give up flags etc. And presumably the current number of flags is set so that it does not hurt the servers.

By the way, I see some people mentioning in this thread that the addition of new country flags is a ruled out idea; no, it isn't! What is ruled out is "customizable clan flags", which is an entirely different idea. So, dear clashers, feel free to suggest new country flags!

Supercell will not add any new flags to the game for two reasons-
1. Game performance and stability (each flag animation chips away at device's memory), similarly to the waterfall which decreased the speed, stability, etc. of the actual gameplay.
2. Secondly, there are hundreds of flags and nationalities- SC simply is unable to add them all to the game. After all, it is just a decorative item and doesn't impact the actual game experience so don't let it bother you too much.
And also,mods should actually pop out and close this thread?
