I dislike the new shield mechanics greatly. Problems i have with it is I can never revenge attack because whenever i try to they're protected by a shield or guard. Another problem is being attacked by people out of my division and sometimes even league because so many people are shielded constantly and still attacking keeping their shields. it just rewards people being on for long periods of time constantly attacking people in lower divisions than themself

I'd be completely fine with being revenge attacked with a shield or even while being online and vice versa for me revenging. itd be a great punishment for players that max out their camps and barracks and put zero effort or resources into collectors and defenses and rely 100% on shields which i see way too much in my leagueQuote:

If you're in a higher league, I'd recommend just ignoring revenge for now, as it doesn't really make much of difference from attacking other players anyway.
A. Because its unfair to players with lower townhalls/division that are attacked by them to lose resources and not be able to regain any back by revenging because They're under a 12 hour shield because their awful base gets 3 starred way too easily by people actually in their division and B. Because they end up feeding resources to the players that actually are lucky enough to attack their base when they're offline and shieldless which rewards for simply being luckyQuote:

The point is that you'd have to actually upgrade your defenses as well so you can defend against revenges meaning that if you're a better attacker and defender you get to gain more trophies putting you in a division with similarly skilled players instead of people in a division all having vastly different villages some with barely any defenses and super beefy armies and vice versaQuote:

I don’t understand why the OP is so hung up on “divisions” which I’m assuming he means league. Trophies don’t mean much when it comes to whom you are matched up it’s a + or - 2 th levels. Most usually the same level th or 1 below.
I also don’t understand who would want everyone they attacked to have a free pass to revenge? How would you save up any loot? To be honest I think that would make players hit lower th more often to avoid a chance of a decent revenge.
Bad idea and bad for the game
Imagine completing 15 attacks in a day; Then when you go to bed, all 15 revenge you.
Now imagine the complaint threads....
For this reason alone I would be against revenging through a shield.
Why am I thinking about "Spinal Tap"? Oh yeah, this thread goes up to 11 (on the ridiculousness scale).
Alright so you attack them get trophies defend a revenge and get even more trophies. If it was only possible to attack and defend against people in your own division you'd either get attacked and lose the defense resulting in a shield and a slightly lower trophy count using your shield you take the time to beef up your defenses and having the lower trophy count pit you against slightly less skilled players which would give you another chance to get a defense win and get you more trophies giving you a chance to defend or attack the players in the higher trophy level repeating this until your either better than the people in that divsion or keeping you in that one until youre good enough defensively and offensively to move up. Simple thing is:
I am TH 10 player
It takes 7M gold to upgrade many of the defenses to max level.
It takes around 6 to 8M Elixir to upgrade troops
It takes lot of dark 100K plus (increases by 4 to 3 K every level) for Heroes
How am I supposed to farm resources if everyone keeps revenging me?

Why is everyone here obsessed with attacking 10+ times a day? I don't have nearly as much time to be playing this game that frequently. I just want a chance to actually progress without getting my butt handed to me by an attacker 1 or 2 townhall levels higher than me with defenses that are way too low for their townhall level. I think actually being able to revenge and get your loot back without someone attacking them first resulting in them being shielded before i can even get my loot back would fix itQuote:

Because that's how i remember clash being. You upgraded your defenses and army defending against people so you could get more trophies so you could attack people with more resources. It seems to me now it's more "attack as many people as you can in a row racking up resources and trophies until someone 3 stars you giving you a shield so you can upgrade your townhall and armyQuote:

Why do you think the player’s defenses are “too low.” Too low according to whom? You could rush ahead like that too if you think there is an advantage to it, right?
If you are playing low in trophies you often can revenge. If you are playing in the upper leagues there is a delay built in to make it harder to revenge and that is needed to prevent players cooperating together.
The main base is not PvP. It is not a PvP game. The builder base side is PvP.Quote:

Op just for your in multi-player is based off of cups. The game matches you up (for the most part) with th + or - 1 of your town hall within around +or-200 cups.
Also there is a loot penalty for attacking a th lower
-1 = 20% penalty
-2 = 50% penalty
-3 = 75% penalty
And so on. So I'm not sure sure where your problem lies it's a fair system that millions of people play and had no problems with

Though they wouldn't if your ideas were implemented. To make reasonable progress you must attack more than you defend. Your idea would stop that happening.

To be honest I forgot the revenge button existed, but if this is really so big of a deal that you’re making it out to be just push trophies and you will be attacked so quickly that no one can revenge you. Also, the shield mechanic has been around for quite some time and has been fine.
Just. No. This is one of the worst idea I’ve ever heard in my multiple years on this forum. Sorry but this would ruin the game for so many people. The new shield mechanics are supposed to allow people to recover once being attacked. With the old system people would just keep losing loot again and again, would be impossible to save up.
