What is your personal definition of a greedy player? I work hard at watching the paper for items I need and doing things like harvesting wheat and animals, etc. but sometimes the item I need just won't drop no matter what I do.
I finally asked my hood if any of them had 4 planks they could sell me at up to max price to upgrade my barn [edited to make it clear I offered to BUY the planks, not that I was asking them to GIVE them to me for free]. I had been wheating heavy for a full week and did not get even 1 plank. I got lots of everything else, but no planks. I had watched the paper and just couldn't manage to get any planks. But I was told I should do wheating to get the planks and since I am at a little higher level than most in my hood I shouldn't be asking for anything! But when they ask I am the first to help if I can. In fact the person that finally sold me the planks, I then turned around and sold her 6 paint and 6 hammers for 1 coin per tem item!
Am I being "greedy" by asking for help from my hood? I thought that was the whole point of being in a hood, working together?
Then I was questioned about why I put things up for sell like extra bolts without telling the hood. My response was I used to ask if anyone needed something I had extra of and all I would get was crickets chirping so I stopped asking.
Another thing I do is when I am doing a boat task for the derby I will usually let the hood know what will be on the next boat if I think that I might not be able to fill it totally on my own. I figure I would appreciate a heads up about what they might need so I can start making, and figured it would be nice to give them the heads up, but have been given grief for doing so. Would you appreciate getting a heads up about incoming boats, especially if it is for a derby task?
Maybe I need to find a new hood, but I know these people in real life and one is a really good friend (she isn't the one giving me grief, but then she isn't sticking up for me either).
Opinions and suggestions more than welcome.
BTW I am currently level 55, almost level 56 and have extensively read the Wikia site, and have a binder I use to help me keep track of helpful things like how many of an item might be needed for a crate (info I found on the Wikia site). I am intelligent and a good player.
