Clan Research
Clan perks were added back in 2015 and the game has changed that research could be a nice way add perks that improve some of the features we've received since then.The purpose of the clan research is to give clans new perks that can be unlocked at lower levels and in any order they want. Lower level clans will be able to pick perks that benefit their player's needs and be more competitive recruiting by offering bonuses to other players.
When is it Unlocked
Clan Research is unlocked by level 5 clans. This can be reach fairly quickly and gives the clan time to build up some research points which I talk about later.
How Does the Clan Access the Research
This would be reached through a menu and does not require any special building to be built. Any level of clan can visit this menu but until your clan hits level 5, all items would be grayed out like in the lab when you can't upgrade a troop. I would place the button on the clan menu or rework the menus and make research the research tab and clan tab together and separate from the profile tabs. In the research menu, there would be sub-tabs for different categories.
The Leader and Coleader can start research from this menu.
What Do We Use to Research
The clan would be able to research items by earning Research Points from clan games. This can be in addition to clan xp earned from clan games or can replace clan xp earned in clan games. The rest of this idea is based of the present "normal" clan game with 6 tiers and each player being able to earn 4,000 points in a game. Research Points can be earned starting at tier 2 and earn 10 points each tier through tier 6. For special clan games with a 7th tier, you can earn 100 points total.

Research Information
All Research takes 1 Day and items start at lvl 0.There are 4 categories of research: Clan Games, Clan War, Builder Base and Players
Clan Games
1) Player points: Upgrading increases the maximum points a player can earn in clan games.
Can upgrade 5 times. Increases the maximum by 5% each upgrade. Costs 50 research points.
Ex) The normal amount has been 4,000 so lvl 1 would be 4200 maximum. lvl 5 would be 5,000
2) Troop Challenges: Upgrading increase the points received for completing troop related challenges in clan games.
3) Loot Challenges: Upgrading increase the points received for completing resource related challenges in clan games.
4) Destruction Challenges: Upgrading increase the points received for completing challenges that deal with destroying certain buildings, getting certain destruction or earning stars.
Can upgrade 5 times. Increases the maximum by 5% each upgrade. The points will round to a multiple of 5 to not completely disrupt the counting system. Costs 50 research points.
Clan War
1) War Loot Boost: Increases the amount of loot earned in war.
There are 10 lvls available. Increases loot by 5%. Costs 100 research points.
(NOTE: This is multiplicative to the current loot bonuses since the bonuses are currently 700% for wins. this means lvl 10 research would be 1050% not 750% for anyone who would catch that.)
2) Clan XP Boost: Xp earned in war is increased.
There are 10 lvls available. Increases xp by 5%. Costs 100 research points.
Builder Hall
1) Daily Loot Time: Reduces time for loot
There are 3 lvls. Reduces time by 4 hrs. Costs 100 research points.
2) Daily Loot Bonus: Increases the loot received for wins in builder hall.
There are 5 lvls. Increases loot by 5%. Costs 100 research points.
Player
1) Trader Inventory: Increases number of offers trader has.
There are 3 lvls. Increases inventory by 1. Costs 200 research points.
2) Trader Discount: reduces gem cost of items
There is 1 lvl. Reduces cost by 10%. Cost 500 research points
3) Magic Items Expansion: Increases the number of magic items a player can holder.
There is 1 lvl. Increases carrying space by 100%
Extra Research Points
When research is complete, some clans won't want to hold on to their research points. There would be a convert research points into clan xp button at a cost like 500 points for 50xp
How Can This Influence the Game
At first Glance, all of this makes the game easier and it does. The game has been heading for players to build faster and this helps new players and new clans do that. Time is also required by this update since research is only able to be done through the completion of clan games. Clans cannot rush through research or farm for points. This feature is meant for the faster upgrades of small clans and to add incentives for joining them. This is only one idea for a whole update or series of updates. With this idea, it is possible for clans to hit 250k clan game points with fewer challenges if everyone maxed so Supercell can add new tiers or much higher special tiers as this idea plays out. if clans can earn xp faster, it might motivate new clan perks the old fashion way.
A Vessel For QoL Changes.
Supercell can use clan research to implement QoL ideas like new titles for clan members, troop training reductions, troop cost or some fun connections to events. Just some examples would +1 lvl to donated event troops or +1 lvl to trained event troops, lvl lost on donation. There is many other ideas that could be implemented for QoL changes using this but I'm only recommending 4 categories now since i see them being most likely add but want to acknowledge that this could be way to add a new direction to the game.
I would love constructive criticism. And if anyone has concerns about something I chose to add, I'd love to discuss why I added it. I also acknowledge my numbers may not be used but wanted to give a baseline to make it easier to imagine.
