Okay guys, so I just thought of something that could possibly fix clouds that affect high level players.
Firstly, insert a trophy cap.
Now since a lot of people will be at max trophies, to determine ranking:
The person who has accumulated the highest number of stars that season will win. If two people have the same number of stars, then the person with more total destruction % will win.
What do you guys think?
There is no simple solution to clouds. There are maybe things that will lessen the wait time, but this won’t fix it. It’s probably one of the most posted about topic in the Clash of Clans forum and we’re just beating a dead horse.Quote:

I’m by no means an expert but while adding incentives might bring more players in the higher leagues, it will only worsen it. Clouds is caused by too many players under a sheild, and no open bases. so with more players up there more people attack and less and less open bases which will just make a longer wait. I don’t understand how this would get rid of clouds. Long waits are caused due to the way the matchmaking system works. Players are able to take many attacks while only having to defend once. Could you elaborate on why you think this would work?
A trophy cap would impact the clouds by evening them out. If you set the trophy cap at 5000 all the people that play at 5000 and the people that play at 6000 (usually) will all have the same clouds on average. In other words, the trophy cap will make the clouds worse for most players (those used to lower legends) and better for a smaller number of players (those used to playing in upper legends).

If that’s not good enough, then they could further cap it at champions. At that point, everyone at the bottom will only experience a small increase in wait time, but people at the top will notice a big difference.
Though now that I look at it, it’s not very ideal because it gets rid of multiple leagues.
