By having a number cup on how many buildings can be placed and having more buildings than can be placed, you really open up the base design diversity. Maybe it should just be a th9+ thing but I think something like this would make the game much more interesting.
I’m not really sure what you mean by this. But I think it is good how it is now.
Th12 for example. Add 3 new defenses but don’t change the number of defenses that can be placed. So bases will have different defenses and not all basically be the same.
I like the idea, if I understand it correctly.
Allow variability in the defenses of a max base. For example, at Max TH12, noting that currently all Max TH12s have exactly the same buildings and walls, allow three more defense buildings of the player's choice.
Similarly, in troop design, allow one to three troops to gain extra ability.
Probably, allow the choice to be swapped, maybe on a weekly basis.
During the journey, you have to make choices, what do you upgrade first? Air of ground defence? Splash damage or point damage? Develop a strong ground or air army first.
Towards the end of each TH level, it gets a little boring, because all max bases are the same, for each TH level.
We have gearing up of some defences. That's nice, but more variability in base would be better.
Does this mean we can choose not to place the EA and the two IT?
I don’t think this would work very well. It would mean you have to chose the route of what you want your base to major in while defending, so if you’re air heavy then a ground attack would destroy you and vice versa. And if you chose the equal and balanced route it would mean you have less firepower overall and any strong air/ground attack can defeat you with ease.
Not really. Who knows what different defenses or traps even that SC could come up with. It’s no different than base designs. Some are better against air, some ground. But having a variety of defenses and traps to place would add actual base design variety.Quote:

Surely by now, building war weights have settled to known values?
From what I understand from the idea, when you become th12 you can’t add all the defenses, only the few that you chose? While yes it would create a lot of varied bases, all the troops would have to be balanced or some form of increased and decreased effectiveness when certain defenses are presented. Either way the troops would have to be buffed and nerfed tediously for at least some form of balance.Quote:
