Ability to re-arm clan mates/friends traps or defenses?

Hi guys, so I just thought of something. What about an option where you can go to your clanmate’s base, and if they are not on, re-arm their traps or reload their defenses.

To balance this, they could do it where:
*One person can only re-arm/reload up to 5 traps/defenses a day in total for friendly bases
*One person can only receive up to 5 re-arms or reloads in total per day

This way, multiple people are encouraged to help out and several different people get helped, as opposed to only ond person getting his stuff re-activated by everyone.
Also, I made it so it’s not game changing/breaking in any major way, but just a nice addition. What do you think?

EDIT: Additonal Info:

-Player can choose to whether enable or disable this feature. So if they don’t want their base touched by others, they can simply disable it.

-The traps/defenses will be re-armed with your friends’ resources. To make this more appealing, your friends can re-arm with a 10-30% discount of the price.

Very interesting idea, but what if they don't want them re-armed i think you should adjust it for that. Other than that interesting and not a bad one. Not sure whether its really worth it personally since at high league defence isn't something that matters as much as attack at the moment. Wouldn't mind this being implemented though with the proviso you can choose to only arm them yourself and not have people waste your resources! Unless your saying the person who re-arms them pays thats different and again interesting!

I like the idea. I don't think it would be good to re arm to anybody in your clan, but with friends would be just2good.

Maybe you could also donate cc defence troops to friends 😳mindblown!

It would be a nice idea where the clanmates and friends can rearm the traps, reload the inferno towers, x bows, eagle artillery etc. of their freind/clanmate.

I assume all of you guys advocating this absolute hate finding a dead base full of loot and always click next if you do stumble across one.......

That’s a dumb analogy. Donating CC troops costs elixir too. Plus, the amount to re-arm isn’t that high honestly.

Same as above. If you don’t want free re-arms, just disable the option for anyone to do so. Easy fix.

Yea I will edit my post and put an option where you can choose whether you want this function enabled or not. Also, this will be re-armed with your friends resources (and they get to do it at a discount, maybe 15-30%? So it makes it more appealing to do so).

It's not dumb at all. Your counter-analogy isn't very good, because you can't donate CC troops to yourself. You have to re-arm traps yourself, which costs you gold and elixir, but if your friends can re-arm your traps for you, then they are effectively giving you those resources. It doesn't matter if the amount is high or not, the donation of resources to other bases is ruled out.

What's also ruled out is automatic trap re-arming. Supercell wants you to log-in and re-arm your traps. Your idea would allow people to not have to log-in if someone else is re-arming traps for them. I think it would follow that Supercell wouldn't want to implement your idea either.

You could consider the donated troops to be a part of your army. Let’s say you don’t have the elixir to train 5 more giants. You can request them in CC. That’s kinda helping you similarly. You can request every 20 mins or so, which is less than the time it takes to build an army. Somebody could permanently reduce the cost of their army if they request some of it in CC.
Now this only applies if you don’t consider CC as already being part of your army.

I don’t know if it’s automatic to that degree.

OP - I see you have skilfully avoided answering my point around dead bases.

1)Do you skip past them?
2)Do you believe they add a vital element to the loot economy of the game?

I’d be interested to get your responses to these two questions and how they then fit with your idea.

Today we have pilots running folks accounts and doing attacks while they sleep. With this suggestion, those same pilots can now reset defenses on those bases while someone sleeps so that they will have an advantage when being attacked since their base is always fully defended.

Nope, can't see this being abused by anyone at all.......

I dislike this idea. A lot.

First, why would this be good for the game?

Do not confuse that with why it would be good for your friend. I see why.

But the point of the game is activity... to log in and get troops and rearm and collect...

Why would this feature be of any benefit to the game as a whole? Again, not to the rearmed person, to the game.

Your CC analogy is still flawed. Your original idea is more like allowing your clanmates to donate troops directly into your camps, thereby allowing you to save elixir by not having to cook those troops. The CC is above and beyond your camps, and moreover - you can't donate into your own CC. The CC is totally different.

In your idea, you say your friends can only rearm a very small % of your traps - then what's the point? Think about how much work SC's devs would have to do to implement this idea (user interfaces, timers, communication protocols, etc). Then think about how much work a friend would have to do just to re-arm your traps - go to your profile, visit, wait for clouds, find unarmed traps, select them one by one, rearm them one by one. How much time would friends waste browsing from base to base looking for one that has traps that need to be re-armed? Or did you plan to have Supercell design yet another user interface to tell you whose bases have traps that need re-arming? All of that work, and for what? To re-arm a very small % of traps on a base? Even if by some chance SC spent their resources on this feature, I for one would not waste my time browsing through 20+ of my friends' bases every few hours just to re-arm a small % of their traps.

Smart guy, I did not avoid it. I totally forgot to mention it.
(1) No, who does?
(2) Ofcourse, they offer tons of generated loot

But I fail to see how re-arming traps would change raiding dead bases drastically IF you are using proper armies. You shouldn’t be counting bases with dead infernos and xbows as part of your loot income anyways. They’re a nice bonus to have, but if those bases have 5 armed traps, who cares? It’s still going to be easy to raid.

Also, your point is invalid on larger scales because dead bases are mostly kicked from their clans. Who’s gonna bother re activating their traps?

“CC is above and beyond your camps”
That’s one way to think of it, and sure, that’s how most people view it. But that DOES NOT prove my point wrong.
What if I have a CC space of 40 troops, I request goblins every 20 mins from clan mates, and raid collectors from dead bases? Sure it’s gonna be hard to funnel them, but that’s me getting FREE RESOURCES out of spending nothing of my own elixir.

DO YOU know how much they have to work to implement it? If you don’t, then you can’t say anything.

And again, who’s forcing the friend to re arm the troops. This is such a bad argument. You’re saying like your friends are forced to re arm it, even though it will be clearly their choice. Sure, yea, it may take hella time to go through the clouds, but if someone is waiting for their army to train and they got nothing to do but stare at their base, then they’re not losing anything.

I have 8 mini accounts

I don't open them at all but they are in my friend's list.

I can re-arm their traps using my resource. Being a TH 10 player, re-arming traps of my other 8 accounts will not cost a huge amount to me.

But it will sure free me from logging out of my main account, and logging into my mini (8 times)

This will also save my time and I would not have to log-in into my minis frequently; and will also save my gold in minis being spent in re-arming traps.
How small the amount be; if its free -- IT IS FREE.

Okay your example with the mini account is good.
I know it’s not gonna be implement now that someone cited the fact that no amount of resource could be donated.
