Long delays/clouds due to clan games, barracks boost and 2 events

Wow... I'm in titan league and have been waiting for hours. This is terrible. Why would I spend money on a value pack for a game I can't play?

I was attacked 4 times over the course of 2 hours. About the same as yesterday.
Don't know what this means. But appears servers can still make a match when a target is available.
Still trying to work out why clouds are extending so low.

There are multiple factors for sure, but the main one that is different today is the huge increase in activity. As predicted in this thread yesterday, combining the events and first day of games plus one gem boost is definitely going to make clouds terrible. That one gem boost is a big difference. Some of the other things that are always present contribute too. For example, you noted you intentionally ended your shield and guard and it took awhile to get attacked. That is not particular to today, people talk about that delay often when intentionally dropping shields. Others have referenced how inconsistent the clouds are, some searches you get into a pool where you get a match in a few seconds and others it takes a much longer time. That also is always the case for clouds. Sometimes in legends you get a match in 10 minutes and other times hours at the same trophy level. Definitely for those playing low, it helps to cancel the search and start over if you get a bad one. Another factor is the nexting bugs that people are discussing, which again existed before today but contribute to the problem if it happens to you. The whole ladder system, matching by trophies plus hall, shields, guards, etc. is all a major part of it too. There also is the issue of dead bases being “removed” from the search pool. We are told they are just moved to the back of the line, not removed, and I’m not convinced on that, but either way, that contributes to clouds also.

I’m a th12 with max heroes- dedicated so much love and effort to this game over 4 years.

Of players who love the game like me will read it and know the exact feeling this game has provided.

I used to be reinvigorated by these special events and obstacles and anniversaries but now I can’t even play.,. And I’m in a low league already for this purpose- and I still can’t play.

It’s like ending a relationship bc you love the person but you have finally realized that that person doesn’t love you back. They are just using you, taking your money, acting like they care, and putting a bandaid on the issue for a bit but... deep down you know, it will never change, they will never care...

And it’s time for you to move on.

I have max12 in legends...clouds are terrible due to CG and the events. QoL thread could take notice...CG makes clouds worse, not better. If they were committed to fixing clouds, they wouldn’t invent reasons to make them worse. I can’t fathom the idea they didn’t see this coming.

BUT, it gets worse....

i have a th9 in silver 2 and it’s 15 minutes clouds. Seriously, this is ridiculous. You’re driving me away from the game.

I will I’ll not spend one more $ on this game until QoL is really fixed and it’s fun again. You may care and you may not, but I have spent $ and expect customer service for the things I buy. This is my only way to vote.

Worst clouds I've ever seen at 4100 trophies. I can say with full honesty that I was going to buy the $19.99 pack for the 4 BoH when I saw it but not even being able to find a match this morning made me decide otherwise.

I do think sc ua ruining or mathcmaking, i had a search that last something like 50min and i was at ~4650, this isnt that high and after i got a match in less than 15 min.... There is something wrong with this matchmaking....

All the factors you discuss are possible theories, and have always been factors in legend league. But this is the first time we have seen it happen on this scale and across so many leagues. There is no way to prove it but I think the best theory is that some dead/inactive bases may have been removed from the search pool. It would explain what happened early this morning, and a quick reversal would explain why things improved so much over the last hour or two.

I don't expect we'll ever get an answer. As long as it doesn't happen again, I will give up searching for one.

my clan partner seems to be having a lucky day today. he is TH12 sitting at 5050 trophy and had to only wait for 25 mins once and 5 mins another time! even i can't believe it.:)

I as well have had some luck today. Managed to complete 3 1hr tasks in T2 with a couple juicy 700/700/6k loots. I was however standing on my head in a corner with quarters between my toes which always helps...
