Improving Builder Base Economy via Per Battle Win Bonus
In the Home Village, the main purpose of attacking is to obtain resources. Trophy pushing is encouraged through increased loot and star bonuses; in Legends, the loot bonus per battle can often be greater than the loot obtained in the raid, for example.
In the Builder Base, resource generation is limited to passive income from collectors, with max passive income being 252K a day, and the ~daily win bonus (max bonus being 585K at 5K trophies plus). Compared to the Home Village which also benefits from other loot sources such as clan wars and clan games, the Builder Base economy is abysmal; the throttling on loot leads to slow progression. Whether or not this is intentional, it's one reason why part of the player base does not enjoy the Builder Base.
As someone who does enjoy the Builder Base, I'd like to suggest the addition of a loot bonus per win in the Builder Base to the tune of 1% of the combined daily win bonus. Both wins and loot are harder to obtain in the Builder Base and this should help tie skill to gain. Additionally, it would provide a small incentive for players to actually battle in Builder Base for longer than to obtain the daily bonus. As of right now, the many battled struggle to move up 200 trophies merely provides around an extra 15-20K loot per day.
Statistically, a player in dynamic equilibrium has an overall 50% win rate. They may have good luck streaks and bad luck streaks but in the grand scheme of things, with nothing changing, they will have a 50% win rate.
Running through two examples:
At BH5, an attack can be made every 4-5 minutes depending on whether the Battle Machine is unlocked. Legends tell of BH5 players with >4000 trophies but for the sake of the average case, I'm going to assume that the average to skilled BH5 player is at 2000-2500 trophies. Here, the combined daily win bonus is between 300K and 330K meaning a 1% bonus is 3K to 3.3K per attack. Putting this in perspective, it means that for every 30 to 33 wins, you would earn an extra 100K gold and elixir. That's enough gold to upgrade one level 2 wall. One wall. For 30 wins. With the limitation of one attack per 5 minutes and a 50% WR, that's 300 minutes or 6 hours of active gameplay allowing for the upgrade of a level 2 wall. Personally, I think that the bonus should be greater than 1% but I'm more interested in providing the idea and some food for thought to SuperCell than trying to figure out the optimal percentage. Regardless, I think that adding a small per win bonus isn't enough to disrupt the Builder Base economy, encourages more gameplay and can add up in the long run.
At BH8, an attack can be made every 10 minutes with a maxed Battle Machine. With 5K+ trophies, a 1% win bonus would be 5.85K (6K for easy math) which is again positively negligible compared to the price of upgrades (another reason I think 1% is too small and should be adjusted, possibly per trophy range). 6 hours of gameplay would yield less than 180K but enough gameplay would help in the grind for walls given that there are only 32 in the Builder Base. That's around one extra L5 - L6 wall a week for someone playing 3 hours a day which is more than should be expected (again I think the number should be increased).
One objection to this might be that it encourages players to drop trophies particularly in the upper echelons. Let's assume that a 5K+ player drops to ~4K trophies in the hopes of obtaining an 100% WR (given that season reset is to 4K trophies, they'd probably have to go lower than that). That would be 4.85K or 5K for easy math every 10 minutes. Even if they were nolifing for 10 hours a day that would be 300K a day. However, they sacrificed 100K in the daily loot bonus by dropping, they'd have to waste time dropping back to 4K trophies and most importantly, math. With a 1% per win bonus at 5K+ trophies and a 50% win rate, for 10 hours of gameplay they would have earned 180K from their 30 wins in the 10 hour time period. However, they sacrificed 100K in daily win bonuses by dropping. Suddenly, the hassle of dropping 1K trophies doesn't seem to make an extra 20K a day worth it. There would be no substantive benefit to trophy dropping to try to game the system.
In the end, Builder Base could deal with some love and a boost to economy would entice more players to play Builder Base, providing more income to SuperCell, increasing the Quality of Life and rewarding skilled or dedicated players without breaking the economy. Although I'd really help that if SuperCell did follow through with my idea (which would be amazing!) that they would be generous enough to make the per win percentage larger than 1%.
TL;DR Add a per win bonus to Builder Battles which would be a set percentage of the combined daily loot bonus perhaps scaling with trophy league. It would help the BB economy and encourage active gameplay without breaking the economy or encouraging trophy dropping.
