I often go onto the chat log to see someone has asked myself or our other leader a question, but due to other messages it's difficult to respond to that person.... I turn to whatsapp for inspiration. If you swipe right on a message it will put that into a bubble then you can respond to that specific message... is this something that could be implemented on coc? Would anyone else find this feature useful?

That’s just an automated response from support. It’s an idea that’s been brought up many times.
I’d imagine it’s not worth the server space to have all these separate conversations going on. Not to mention a pm system could and would be abused. Having a social chat app that the majority of your clan uses is really the only other viable option
I think I haven't explained myself properly... I don't want private chats, just a way of responding directly to someone in the clan chat. In whatsapp group chats if you swipe a message from the chat it appears in the chat and you can't reply to that person (still within the main group chat). We do indeed also have a chat for our elders and leaders but some members don't wish to join in those chats... thanks for your help anyway.
