Sc have announced the closure of the boom beach forum with no reason given ... hay day forum is most likely next (not saying it will happen soon but it probably will) ... just a friendly warning

Well it’s not like Supercell seems to give a rats bottom what we think anyway, so if it closes they aren’t gonna miss our input!
The forum is an invaluable source of information for players and has something merit at least for recruiting. It’s loss would be very sad indeed. I think the most frustrating thing for the Boom Beachers is the announcement with not a single word of explanation why, it’s taking customer service to an all time low even for Supercell:mad:

Each of the game areas on the forum is dealt with by its own Community Manager. The fact that Drew has announced the closure of the Boom Beach forum has no effect on the Hay Day one.
It's natural to read more into something than is said, and Boom Beach forum members are understandably upset, but that is no reason to assume that the same will happen to Hay Day.

What made you think that CoC sub forum is the most toxic forums? Come over and spend one day reading our threads. Even moderators believe CR forums was the most toxic.

So for the foreseeable future there are no plans for the Boom Beach forums to close, and I will enjoy getting to know you all a bit better in the coming months. If you have any more questions please feel free to hit me up in this thread or anywhere else.
TL;DR The Boom Beach forums aren't closing any time soon.
Soon turned out to be less than a year.
I was thinking, what would I do if SC decided to close the HD forum. I would thank all of the helpful posters, set up a means to stay in touch with my friends and thank our Gasps, Mods and CM. You only have a week to say what you mean...

It'd suck if this forum closed, but I wouldn't stop playing and I wouldn't stop interacting with the HD community.
How would you choose to interact with the HD community Elluna? I’d miss you if we didn’t have the Forum, but I don’t do FB (and never will) and Reddit I find to be very disorganised and difficult to use in the same way.Quote:

The Reddit Discord server, the Dutch hay day Slack server, and various content creators on youtube is mostly how I talk to people now, in addition to the forum.
Also you're right, but some people are definitely panicking and making assumptions.
I do not use Facebook either and will not be doing so. Reddit does not look attractive either. Really don’t know what I would do.🤔

Now we are in the age of unlimited superfast home broadband - it wouldnt take a lot of effort or resource for someone to set up and run a new unofficial forum.
Maintenance is not a huge effort unless it is modified from a standard template, most management can be farmed out to knowledgeable users (retired people dont automatically have dementure).
The real question would be one of would the game company be willing to allow this out of thier hands.
