Increase obstacle limit-is it time?

So as the title says-do you think it is time to increase the obstacle limit from 45?
Obviously after 6 years and numerous spawning events many bases have exceeded this limit and there are many collectors out there who do not want to remove any of their obstacles they have taken so long to collect.
As a result regular obstacles and the gems that come with them have stopped.

SC has over the last 8 months have done everything in their power to help speed up game progression and obviously the gems from removing regular obstacles would help them in this cause.

Personally l don’t mind one way or the other.It was just something l was thinking about the other day so l thought l’d put it out there.

No, it’s not time, because special obstacle spawns aren’t limited by the amount of other regular obstacles you have - you’ll still get them on a base covered in trees.

Ugh. Trees. And mushrooms. And bushes. And stumps. Every now and then I'll have all builders busy and one of those will appear and I can't eradicate it. :mad: A tree filled base would drive me crazy. Ok. I have a few issues. :p

Hey Tomville.That part l understand.
I guess my question is more about whether the limit should be increased so that a player who collects special obstacles and has a lot of them should be able to keep collecting gems from regular spawning obstacles seeing that more and more players now have exceeded the current limit of 45.

If you keep one each of every special obstacle, can't you stay under the limit?

Yes something should be done about this. Special obstacles should not count towards the obstacle limit.

No, I don’t think so. At some point you’re making a choice between collecting special obstacles and being able to remove obstacles for gems. It’s not a point the vast majority of players would ever reach. If you decide to push a special object collection that far into hoarder territory then I don’t see what’s wrong with the idea you’re then going to need to be choosing - it’s not a change SC should invest time on given the incredibly tiny number of players involved and that they are doing something very niche in collecting all those multiples rather than just one or two well placed examples of each. These are, after all, simply limited availability collectable decor.

I hear you. I am in the same spot.

I had to literally copy my whole progress base from normal base to clan-war bases just to avoid those pesky little obstacles. (One of them being the 6th anniversary cake)

I think an increase of 15-25 would be appreciated. Base size had been enlarged before, this game had aged as well, long time players should be close to maximum allowed obstacles (regular and special) or rather already passed the limit and thus unable to spawn regular obstacles anymore. It would be hard choice to remove those special ones for the sake of spawning more obstacles.

An increase would be appreciated but not really an important nor urgent request.

True special obstacles will always spawn but they do count against the limit of obstacles that are allowed on your base so yes agree with op. Need increase to obstacles and or better yet don't count special obstacles against regular obstacle limit.

This is correct. My base is so littered with special obstacles that normal obstacles don't even spawn anymore. I haven't removed an obstacle in over two years, but every time there are special obstacles they continue to appear.

I accept the loss of gem income as part of the package deal of saving obstacles. If I want gems, I'll buy them.

Same here or I visit my BH base and pick up free gems. ...... but having no limit sure wouldn’t stink...

One of each special obstacles is enough imho. Why fill it with unnecessary obstacles when you could just remove them for gems

Builder base obstacles spawn daily and has a gem mine conveniently located there as well. I haven't spawned a regular obstacle in main village in over 2 years, but I'm okay with that. Still get a handful of gems per day from BB.

i agree with op on this. it would be nice if we get some increase like may be 5-10 more.
and it would also be nice if we get some kind of QOL improvement that allows us to move obstacles.

I’d like to see another land expansion come to the game so that it pushes any special obstacles closer to the fringe. I’d like to also see a new building called special obstacle storage come to all town hall levels where you can remove said special obstacles to store, and later choose to put them where you like. Just a thought of mine.

Base no longer spawning natural obstacles (increase max limit!)
I've worked for 3 years to get an evenly spaced set of trees around my base (attached), only to come up against what appears to be a max limit of naturally occurring obstacles. Please increase this limit so I can complete my zen mission!

Increasing the max limit by +20 should do it!

- It's been 2+ months since I've gotten a new tree or bush.
- Gem boxes, loot carts, and the anniversary cake will still spawn regardless of this limit.

its not a bug. the limit is around 42 normal obstacles. why do you want more normal obstacles? to fill your base so you come and complain about no free space for special obstacles → increase map size?

That’s too many obstacles! Special obstacles count towards the 45 total. At 45, normal obstacles stop spawning but special obstacles and gem boxes still will. We had a clan mate with 60+ obstacles!

i know that they count to the obstacle limit but does lootcart count as obstacle?

Wait so let me get this right you can in theory have like 80 special obstacles ?

And if there is no limit on special obstacles then why is my alt account that I have not logged in to in over two years not spawning any special obstacles since then.

as the name says "special" they are special and limited. they only spawn seasonal and only for few weeks. some get up to 8 of them and others none of them and some people only get 1.
