Introducing the Cyclone - the Best TH8 Farming Vault?

Had a couple of TH sniper coming by and the second real attack. again I think the attacker was Fter my de.
a TH9 three-starred me, level 6 giants and such. My defenses are still very weak in their level :(

All you people praising this base do realize spring traps are key to defending against attacks right?

If you acknowledge that fact you should see that northern and southern spring traps will not do anything to giants, wasting a valuable defensive capability.

I have adjusted the traps in my base accordingly.

It continues to perform quite well if defenses are up.
Currently however, I am upgrading all wizard towers, a tesla and a mortar (yeah...) so I got a three star loss by a maxed TH9 offense tonight with many level 6 giants. But that is to be expected.

However, I also had two Balloon raids. The first was a revenge by some idiot that brought 40 balloons and spells and nothing else. He managed to destroy all my defenses, then time ran out. Somehow he forgot to bring minions and took zero ressources. We had a good laugh at that in our clanchat.

Another balloon minion raid with Level 6 balloons was very successfull though.

All in all I am still happy with the base. Of course, always looking here and there for other layouts, but if I find nothing that convinces me, I might just keep this layout until I go to TH9.

Seems promising, but just by looking at it It wouldn't fare well against Hog Riders: the second ring contains defenses which giants/hogs go to rather that circling around the base.

was using this base during later stage of th8 to protected most gold & DE.
There's was once an attacker with 8Wbs its just open straight to core.

Then i tweeted the base slighting with some opening & funneling, did better that way from my experience.
No longer th8 so cant share the replay or the base anymore.

The teslas were my downfall with the earlier version of this, that was the reason the core from the vault thread was faulty.

True and true. But please keep in mind that this is for farming. Rarely do I get a severe attack, and it fights off BAM extremely well.

Thanks, I would like some help on better trap placements, I am admittedly no too goof at finding the optimal spaces.

Some of his giants went flying. Inner core not breached.
His archers took one of my gold storages before being destroyed by a mortar.
He come through the side where an air defense is being upgraded, because of his minions. He had to face the Level 8 walls there. No loot taken from me worth mentioning. (Had no gold on offer anyhow, wonder why he attacked at all. Maybe for the de)

Haven't seen a maxxed hog attack yet. It's don't well vs mid leveled hogs though.

Well that many wb's would break into any th8 vault, especially if the attacker knows how to use them.

I'm trying it out

CC doesn't seem unlurable if i use a couple giants + 2 wallbreakers. The reason most don't like vaults is that I use 10 wb to get into the core I drop a heal spell on goblins and get everything by destroying only around a third of the base. Your base is well made, but will still succumb to this. Otherwise looks very nice, but not something I would use to farm.
