Game loses connection only during war attacks and only after latest update

Since the latest update I have been completely unable to do any war attacks on my Samsung tablet. My first war I put the problem down to being my own wifi even though everything else seemed fine. I was then away on holiday for a few days, came back and exactly the same problem. I deploy troops, instantly get the curved wifi connection icon. Keep deploying troops in hope and usually get a star or two, then I lose connection. I instantly reload game and it shows I've done a war attach with 0% damage and no troops registering as deployed. Thats my last four war attacks wasted. I never have any other disconnects when doing normal attacks or Friendly Challenges.

I have made no changes to my Samsung tablet, the only thing that has changed is the Clash of clans update. My wifi continues to work on other devices when clash of clans crashes so not its not my wifi and not my device.

I literally can't be in war at the moment. I am th11 and leader of my clan and at the moment I can't war. Feel rather cheesed off.

Any help at all would be welcomed with open arms.

I wonder how common it is. I'm going to try doing my war attack on my mini account on my tablet next war, at least that won't lose the war for us. I have checked and there is no available android update for my tablet and every other app seems OK on it.

The biggest problem is I can't test any possible work arounds, that's if I can find any, without risking losing war attack. I've tried the obvious of doing an uninstall then install again. I've contacted support but had no response yet, fingers crossed.
