I sold off my Android device and got an iPhone. Now I can't link them both because the Android is already sold.
Is there a way around this? I'd really hate to lose my progress.

I have a similar but slightly different issue. I returned the faulty pad, wiped it and bought a different brand. Im fairly unlucky in problems like this but if you hear anything let me know. Hoping I get an answer before office max ships off the pad I returned to the manufacture.
hmmmm so if in both cases the clash account was associated with a Google+ account in that case you would need another Android device to recover the accounts and then transfer via the link to an iOS device.
Usual caution - if it's not to a device you own then only recover the account onto a device you are absolutely certain is trustworthy - your parents/wife/husband for example.
We get a lot of people transferring accounts to (now ex.) friends and wondering why someone else is playing their game.
My case was a bit different. I had two devices connected but the tablet went back to the store leaving the ios. Thanks for replying. I was getting stuck because I was starting at the iphone hitting the link a device and was getting the "already linked" message. So I took your advice, logged into the new pad, went to the link device and it asked for a google play email. Soon as I put one my village loaded. Made my belated bday. Thanks again.
But if I get another Android device and install the game, the link device function won't work right? Because the original device is already wiped of data and sold off.
