Keep players interested, help players return with two major fixes
1) Clan Wars.
We should be able to constantly participate in the clan wars. We can't do that while we are upgrading our heroes. Can't do that while Spell factories are being upgraded. Once I go away for a week, or twelve days, sometimes its easier to just not come back. The lack of the capability to consistently participate in clan wars with your full onslaught capacity is ridiculous, yet an integral part of this game. This is why I left, quit playing before, and will probably leave again.
2) Time. And it's not on our(the players) side.
Originally CoC was capped at TH8? I could join, have fun and compete with veteran players within a reasonable amount of time(maybe a few months?). Now....Years of expansions and new, higher level THs have multiplied that time frame exponentially. It takes years of upgrading to max TH11 let alone play with the TH12 veterans. This is not seen as reasonable to new players. In my opinion, it should take the same amount of time to max at TH11 now, as it used to take to max TH8 when that was the max- maybe a few months.
With these two major core issues, that the game is designed around, few people have the motivation and dedication it takes to come join an existing platform, a veteran game if you will. These core issues are holding back continued CoC popularity and participation. While many suggestions are being made, these are the core issues that I feel need to be addressed and can be fixed in many different ways.
