Increase TH resource capacity?

I think this would be a good idea because all "farm design" bases would just disappear. The new capacity and distribution of resources of TH must be the 1% of the max level of each storage (still starting from 1k if lower):

In this situation ppl will mostly like to protect the TH so less walls to protect resources.
This is a minor change but what do you think about this idea?

Edit: this would be a problem maybe because there will be less resources per storage and so a nerf for goblins? share your thoughts!

Edit 2: The TH will still be 100% lootable

Edit 3: This will even make trophy push much easier, at least recollecting resources for the 1-star / 2 - star attack.

Edit 4: most of you guys don't like this because it's unfair. What about making it 50% lootable, but with a more bonus for TH level? TH level +1 means 75% loot, TH 2+ +90% ecc (same logic would be applied to penalities).. I just don't get why 5 days shield cost 100gems and 12hour shield can't cost 40k resources...

what if you are farming and your town hall is outside?

I'll probably still let my TH outside, at least when i know I won't play for a couple of hours.

that's my point. TH is the heart of your village and the game should involve to protect it. My idea is supposed to make all the farming assets disappear.

well so looters will have up to 80k free resources just with few loot, which is a very nice loot and gives you a shield at a resonable cost.

I actually really like this idea... but I would make it much higher to entice TH hits and TH protection.

Maxing out at 200k of each in TH10, 150k TH9...

I'm not too keen on getting pushed into a trophy hunting or hybrid setup mindset. Why do you hate farming bases so much?

Is this idea to kill farming?? I think only low lvl players and VERY high lvl players would like this, because they don't farm

I don't. I love them. My TH is lonely in a corner too, and sometimes I get 12h free shield which is pretty amazing. But I thought about this for 2 reason

A. Some members are actually writing about loot problems. This would be a marginal solution because, as Klarksmith wrote above, some players will still leave their TH outside, making them a better loot.

B. TH should be the heart of your village, so you must recieve a higher bonus destroying it.

C. I've never heard about medieval villages with castles out of the walls and fields inside them. It's just a more logical asset imho

TH 7-8 finding up to 60k loot free?

This would be a very bad idea for the game, don't like it.

I'd quit right off if that happened.

Futile regardless, like having leagues. They stimulate no desire to go up in trophies.

I don't think that anyone would enjoy having being forced to lose 160k gold just at TH8 (which is roughly what you make from maxed collectors) every 24 hours, which will happen as your base would get thoroughly attacked every time.

This is the dumbest idea ever. People always complain about de lightning and the town hall would be the same situation. Almost all resources would be concentrated in one building so one could light it up and walk away with a good chunk of resources. This also means that building can cost up to 10 million

i am a townhall seven and i dont farm. i like this idea but storages need the same capacity townhall should just get more.

This would not bother me, but I know it would cause a storm of rage to flurry over the forums, wiping out each thread with fury. Therefore I do not think it would happen.

I do like the amounts you've added for each Town Hall, seems like it's thought through and fair.

If this were to be implemented I think it would need to be part of an overall change to the way resources are gained from attacks.

Although the TH idea will help, I still increasing the league bonuses is the main improvement that needs to be made to gaining resources and to help put meaning back in trophies for the majority of players who don’t care about them.

Fair? Not fair unless you're playing frequently enough to counteract and recoup the losses you would get just from losing your TH.

All we need are level 12 collectors.

I don't get the 10million argument, can you explain?

I'll make an example w\ lv 7 TH
TH will only cover from 16% (200k from full storages against 40k TH) to 50% (two storages w\ 20k each and 40k in TH)

but TH will be immune to goblin at least there is one storage\mine\pump left

Before you say something is dumb maybe you should at least think about it first.

Worst case scenario

TH10 has 5,000hp a L6 lightning spell does 450 damage at a cost of 24,000 elixir.
This means 5 L6 strikes could do 2,250 damage or 45% so could grab 36,000 gold and elixir based on the OP’s numbers.

The net result would be – 84,000 elixir and + 36,000 gold but more importantly the spell factory out of action for the next 2.5 hours making lightning spells.

So I really can’t see anyone being dumb enough to strike a TH if this was in place. So next time before you say something is the dumbest idea ever (which is saying something considering some ideas that are posted) maybe you should check your reasoning since it just makes you look dumb not the OP like you are trying for

Actually i liked the idea but it should pay everything inside to the winner in a battle.
also SC should do something about DE zapping if they ever take your idea into consideration.

i think you should get no loot untill the TH is fully destroyed

NO this would kill all farming, and all the bases that everyone has ever made would become useless. Why do you want this? Farming is a great way to get as many resources as possible, and there is no need to push TH in the base. And if you did that, now to get the full amount of money, we would have to attack the TH to? This would just be a disaster.

I farm with my town hall inside. It won't make any difference to me...

well, gem achievement will still be a god reason to go to the top. And there will always be better loot bonuses on top leagues. Furthermore, when someone upgrades his TH will not rieceve many resources from lower lvl TH due to strong loot penalty

the game is intended to be played for trophies and loot ​not just one and this will help

This is a terrible idea. i spend hours and hours farming for loot and then some person could just walk on through and snipe the th and take 200k in the th. Not very smart. Now if you want to do something put like a few Dark elixir into the th.

It is a terrible idea, absolutely terrible.

A town hall is worth trophies, not loot.

The problem is trophies are worthless. A far better idea would be to come up with ways to make trophies more valuable, such as greater league bonuses; and rewarding players for successful defenses with a league bonus also.

The other problem is there is not enough loot in the game, all this would do it shift the loot shortage between one another more.

Premature bases would also get raped more then ever. They are big spenders and such a thing would drive them even further out of the game.

This is just another attempt to punish progress even more, as opposed to fixing the games problems. Which is worthless trophies and not enough loot generated at higher halls.

Making the townhall worth loot...

More Loot? - because it doesn't, it takes loot away it seems to me.
It actually makes it easier to lock loot away in a big tough building.
It only adds loot for people who are trophy hunting, and they aren't complaining about loot!

Making trophies mean something? - because it doesn't unless there are decent win bonuses.

Or is it to remove 'Farming'. What have you got against farming?

A massive change to the game so it will turn of a lot of players (there are a LOT of farmers) - thankfully I can't see supercell wanting this either.
