Your argument makes no sense, your assuming they capped it at 2 weeks because there are no buildings that takes longer than 2 weeks.
If SC keeps releasing new updates, they will have to pass on 2 weeks. My argument is that there needs to be a cap, one week should be it since new players need some hope of reaching the end game.
Your words, not mine. These are complaints about the future. One that hasn't been realized yet. If they release new buildings that take 16 days, complain about increasing times then.
With the current trend, the upgrade time is going to continue to get longer. You are going around claiming your assumption as fact. The upgrade time is not capped at 2 weeks until SC confirms it, I am attacking your assumption. TH11 will be released next, we all know its coming and the upgrade time for TH11 buildings will be higher than 14 days.
You even reiterate that here. You have absolutely no reason to believe the times will continue to increase, and in fact all evidence up until this point says the contrary. The current trend is for things to hit a max of two weeks time. There is not a single thing in this game that takes longer than 2 weeks time to upgrade. Perhaps you have a different definition of "cap" than most other people.

2 weeks is too long, and you are incorrect. It takes over 8 months to upgrade all buildings from TH from level one to max TH9 if you play casually without spending any money on this game.
I specifically asked you what you meant by that 8 months statement and framed my response around TH9 specifically, so no I am not wrong. I also happen to agree that they should drop the costs of upgrades as new things come out, but specifically because I'd like to see new players be able to catch up. I have no problem with 2 week upgrade times for max level buildings tho.
Seeing as the majority of the player of this game are under 18s, its likely they won't be spending money on extra builder. This means any hope of reaching the end game is dashed.
I hate to break it to those folks, but yeah if you don't spend money you're never going to see the end game. That's a given for freemium game. Also there are folks such as me, that would get bored if they ran out of stuff to upgrade.
Max Hero, Max Walls, Max Building for TH9 will take considerably long time, above 1 year. There are people who stayed at TH9 for 8 months just to get Lava walls. Upgrading all buildings to max TH9 from TH1 takes around 8 months if you do not buy builders.
So? Walls are built instantaneously so that doesn't really help your argument much.
Yes, TH11 will probably come out at some point. Do we all know that upgrade times will be longer than 14d? Nope. As stated earlier, X-bow lvl 4 ug takes 14d, same as the level 3 ug on TH9. You are making assumptions here, and you may not be right. Although I agree that the 14d ugs feel long, but I also think it's fair, and that the anticipation of waiting for the building to finish kind of is a part of it all.Quote:

Before TH9 came out, if I'm not mistaken, the highest upgrade time was around 1 weeks. Did you believe the upgrade time was capped at 1 week just because no other buildings took longer than that at that time?
Hero upgrade time is the only thing that is capped.
I say SC should cap the building upgrades between 7-10 , most players(NON-gemmers) have 3 builders some smarter players have 4 and even fewer were able to spend 20-35$ for buying either the 5th builder or 4th and 5th but majority of players have 3 builders imagine have 3 buildings freaking waiting for 14 days and doing nothing all you get to do is what fill your storages in 2-3 days ? What about the rest of 11-12 days your waiting ? Donate troops all day long , where's the fun in that ? Yes ofcourse you can go trophy hunting , sure why not let them destroy your base thats missing 3 defenses and has tons of loot to steal fun right ( sarcasm intended) :D , if buildings took like 7 days we could have upgraded 6 buildings instead of 3 wouldn't that be more interesting this would also "achieve" SC "goal" of making more people trophy hunt because a lot of bases would be maxed way faster and ready to rumble with the world !! this will give newer players a chance to eventually catch up cause every single update recently adds stuff that would take 2-3 weeks IF you have all 5 builders and probably a month and half for people with like 3 builders it takes lets say roughly a year to have a maxed TH10 and with updates coming constantly adding like a month to that . I doubt that most players have only 3 builders, especially if they're at a stage where an upgrade takes 14 days. There has been TH6s reaching Master's, so that's not only for TH9s and 10s. And it's not like everything takes 14 days, no one with any sense of planning puts all their builders to do 14 day upgrades when you can stagger so they finish at different times.Quote:
