BEWARE: This response is a book. I'm sorry!
I think you're confused about the meaning of "moderator."
Moderator (mod·er·a·tor)
n.1. One that moderates, as:
a. One that arbitrates or mediates.
b. One who presides over a meeting, forum, or debate.
No where does it say "provides technical support." That's a completely different thing. Don't quote me on this, but most likely the response you would have received from a mod would have said the Supercell team is aware of your issue and is working on it. Which is the general tone of previous posts here that you've completely disregarded. Mods collect information and share it with those higher up than them. All we can do is hope that enough people are asking/saying the same things so something gets done about it faster.
You're contradicting yourself by saying that you don't want help from non mods that have previously posted but then go on to say that you've talked to non mod users about the issue, to save time for the mods. I'm not a mod and I'm not trying to speak for them, but I think logically if a mod sees that a forum member has already answered the question correctly, no more input is needed. That way they can move replying to posts that only mods can correctly respond to.
Have you sent an actual report to Supercell using the issue button found in settings? That's the most effective way of getting the answer you're seeking. But it can take a few weeks and I'm getting the vibe you don't want to wait that long. The thing is: everyone has to wait that extended amount of time, not just you. The technical support staff can only answer so many of the thousands upon thousands of emails they get daily. You're not getting pushed to the back burner and over looked. It takes time to get an answer. Bugs and other issues can take a while to be fixed properly. There's no quick fix. I've sent several emails to about issues I've encountered, although it took longer than I would've liked to get a response, I eventually got one. And they were kind enough to fix the issue for me, when they could have just brushed it off as a lost cause. (It had to do with Tom and diamonds.) The resolution was well worth the wait, that's for sure. Good things come to those who wait.
About those posting here that aren't mods, that are defending them and all they do for us, look at it this way: Mods are the equivalent to royalty around here, making us adoring and loyal subjects. So of course we're going to be off put by someone bashing them and claiming they're not doing their jobs. Without them the forum would be so hectic, no one would ever get a response from them, ever. There are certain threads that take more presidency over others based on the nature of their content. Be patient.
Making a thread automatically makes it public reading. Anyone who reads it has the right to comment and give their two cents and more if they please. Keep that in mind for future posting.
EDIT: This was posted before reading your latest reply.
