Queenwalk NERF

In the upper th11 and th10s, queenwalks have been requirements for a good attack, and have become a must for a 3 star in war. This lacks diversity and makes the game very stale, so I propose a two-fold solution to the problem.

1 Archer Queen Range -1 tile
Heroes being healed by any healing effects will only receive half the heal

Both Heroes and Healers are in good spots. but the ability to heal the heroes without end becomes a bit troublesome. (there is a reason you only get 1 hero.) A heal reduction, in combination with a 1 tile deduction will make the attacker use more precise placement of the hero. This allows for counterplay, as the attacker has to take a bit more care to ensure the Queen stays alive. i.e, she now just can't absorb Everything (cannon, double cannon, mortar, x-bow, archer towers, ) and keep sniping. The attacker will have to lend support, whether in the form of a distraction, tank, or Freeze/Rage, or deploy her in a less dangerous area. I know it is a big change, but big changes are required for big problems such as Queenwalk.

P.S. Raged Healers will still deal plenty of heal to further protect the Archer Queen. and if there are no defenses near her, (because she is firing at a wall) healers can still heal her back to full health easily.

Queen Walks have been nerfed repeatedly and don't need additional tweking.

Supercell wants complex, multistage, attacks and this goes along with that philosophy.

If anything needs adjusting its the lack of secondary options for the remaining portion of the raid.

Queen Walking isn't the only viable strategy, but it IS one of the easiest to pick up. There are plenty of high-level TH10/11 strats that are just as, if not more, effective. Simply watch some of the CWL attack videos and you can see a variety of different multi-stage attacks.

Queen Walk is a good strategy to start understanding the basics of funneling, spell timing, and understanding how to deploy troops effectively. But it's not the end all strategy that every person relies on.

one of the easiest to pick up, Yikes, I've been playing for almost half a decade and I still cant do it well. I am a certified moron though, so maybe I am not a good reference point.

Actually, Heroes now only receive half of the Healer healing touch. The 90 Heal per seconds of a max Healer is only applicable to troops. Healers only heal 50% out of the 90 to the Heroes.

And there is a slight reduction of 3rd and 4th Healer on AQ.
1st and 2nd Healer = 45 Heal per seconds
3rd and 4th Healer = 90% X 45 = 40.5 Heal per seconds
The 5th and 6th Healer rate is much much lower, like 60-30%, so people don't bother using 5 or 6 Healers on AQ.

Now if you are using 4 Healers, the healing per seconds that AQ get is just 171. That's not really a lot considering 2 point defenses is already more than that. If AQ get hits by 3-4, it will die very fast.

Queenwalk is very strong, if you consider Rage spell, AQ ability and maybe GW ability. But every once in a while, people do fail at it. And when it fails, it's almost certain you won't even get a single star on max TH11 base. But when it succeded, it' never a guarantee to get 3 stars or even high % 2 stars. So from this perspective, I think currently Queenwalk is at a very balance position.

I thought about reducing Healers range too,but really AQ is not the only one gets healed by the Healers. Reducing the heal range, will just mean Healer is useless when using it with Giants, Bowlers, or any other troops.

And the fact that AQ weight space is 25, 4 Healers is 56, add in 2 Rages, it's almost one-third of your total troops space, so it make sense for this strategy to have such impact on your attack.

Agreed with Darian with his post, except that QW is easy, hehe. I can't tell the times I've missed Queen ability and poof goes queen. Also - if you're using a rage to keep your queen up thats a spell you can't use for the rest of your army (direly needed). So you sacrifice that too. QW can be very strong, sure, but has already been nerfed many times. I've seen so many QW fails, its awesome. Watching the attacker deploy his queen right where there are 3-4 air mines, watch the healers go, then queen shortly thereafter, is very funny.

OP - what you propose will kill QW off entirely, there's no way I'd waste the housing space on healers, or bother using QW if they implemented what you propose. Sorry.

Every now and then someone will come on the forum to say QW is OP. Yes it can be strong by a very experienced attacker, you obviously got hit by a few experienced attackers in a row and feel sore about it, my advice? Go QW them back yourself! Getting to lvl 50 with your Queen is a massive, MASSIVE journey and grind, once I got there, I expected her to at least kick a tiny bit of you know what hey?

As if you Start Queen walk and 3 star every time 😑😑😑😑. Get a good base set infernos to single Target even Queen walk will fail😒.

If it’s truly a must for the 3 star at higher levels, why nerf it? No chance for 3 star makes the game stale. Get much more bored watching bowitch hordes than anything queen walked.

Has to be a problem to require a solution and queen walk just ain’t it.

QW is balanced right where it needs to be currently. Hairdryers and properly placed point defences will make short work of even a maxed Queen under a rage. Most QW is utilizing 5 healers... How do you think your base would hold up if all those healers were replaced with bowlers,hogs or Witches? Ring bases are a fail, I've a feeling OPs base is one. That ship has sailed bud.⛵️

Single infernos are a witch's best friend!

As a max 11 (shy 40 walls) I am very proud that my current war base has NEVER been 3'd by any form of attack that includes QW. It is also, so far, bowitch proof (15+ wars). QW is strong against some bases sure, but not against all.

The queen walk is triumph of mediocrity over strategy, the exact opposite of what this game should be, combining units into an army with potentially hundreds of combinations and styles.
It allows a more mainstream audience as no skills are required, but remove any interest, simply a nuke in a skirt.

Queen walk and healer/Bowlers combos are ruining the diversity of this game and the fun of making a well rounded defense because you need to build your defense with these attacks in mind or you get demolished. This is unfair to the defender! Any healer based attack requires minimal skill and should be balanced by simply removing the rage effects from healer. Played that think there so good at this attack should have no problem. We need to bring skilled attacking back and stop rewarding people whom rely on a healer crutch to play competitively.

If you think that QW is too easy, then design a base to counter it. It sounds like people aren’t thinking defensively.

Those poor poor defenders who are 3 starred 2 or 3 times out of 10 by skilled attackers and even less by most players?

I think the queen could do with 15% less DPS, and battles with 15% more time. This would enable more complex multistage attacks.


Secondary options for queenwalk? One baby TH11 3 star strategy that is working for me is queenwalk followed by mass miners with heal, where you let the queen die after she’s destroyed the eagle.

Healers are the issue. Healers combined with bowlers and rage spell effects are simply too powerful. Just like a high lv queen walk. Healers range should be reduced and the heal suppesion of infernals reinstated.
