Wall Upgrade - Or how to make walls worth the insane gold to upgrade them!
To a large degree walls seem to need to some love since the addition of hogs, especially with the insane cost of walls starting at level 9.
To make walls an important part of the defense of your town hall again I recommend allowing walls to damage troops, which could be accomplished in a variety of ways:
1. Allow walls to deal a small amount of damage every time a troop jumps over them, the more walls they jump, the more damage they take. My vision of this would effect hogs, and troops under the effect of a jump spell. This can be accomplished either a small damage done passively, or perhaps an upgrade to walls, like adding barb wire to the top, or lava jets, lightning rods, sharpened wooden stacks etc. If done as an upgrade I think the damage should be greater. I don't want extreme damage, by that I mean enough to kill troops just for jumping over walls, an unbreakable defense would make the game boring.
2. Jump spells could be upgraded to level 3 to give "extra bounce" and avoid wall damage.
3. Optionally allow the damage to hit flying troops. Personally I think this option should require an upgrade of some sort.
4. Another option would be allow a certain number of walls to be booby trapped. So when troops (both ground and flying) get near the wall it would self destruct dealing damage to nearby troops. These walls would also be camouflaged so as to be unidentifiable by attacking troops. I envision much like the current system of bomb upgrades, these walls could be upgraded to deal more damage at higher town hall levels.
4a. I would like an option (for bombs as well) that allow me to deactivate the exploding walls (and bombs) without them showing up on the map as being deployed, so attackers don't know whether they are active or not.
Since I am not a developer I am not including costs for upgrades or amounts of damage done, for the most part I trust supercell to not unbalance Clash of Clans by adding this.
