However, people just keep on buying them at maximum price.
And if they are selling at max, them people will keep selling at max.

Is there something unique about being a player on a lower level, that means those players should get more money for their goods than others who have been playing longer? I could argue the opposite, that higher level players have put in a lot more time so far and should be rewarded. But I think it's fair just the way it is.
And who knows the decision making process behind every player's pricing scheme? What doesn't suit you may work well for the time that another has to play. You did what was right for you in waiting for your own eggs. Others will do what is right for them. If we aren't enjoying this game, why play?
Nothing unique except the fact that as players advance in levels coin seems to be less of an issue to them. Whereas every single coin counts when a player first starts out and needs to purchase the initial machines. Not that difficult a concept to comprehend.
Have you considered trading on this forum? There's a great goods trading thread where you can set the terms that are agreeable to both traders. I had a very nice person patiently walk me through the process and it turned out to be so easy. I have found most people here are kind and helpful and really want your game to be a good experience.
Found this terribly funny as I am now using my finger joints to swipe through the DD. I think I have "wind burn?" "iPad swiping burns?" on all my fingers.
Haha... Before reaching level 49, I have always been broke. It's only because I haven't had to fix or build some hugely expensive item. I still have the lobster pool to upgrade, but not sure if I should upgrade to 3.
This whole thing is getting super annoying. It isn't just low level players who do this. People need to learn to fill their shops before creating the advertisement. Tired of coming up against a wall of eggs and when clicking into the shop itself getting 1 set of eggs at 180 coin.

Hi,
There is no good or bad way to play the game.
There is no rule that says you can't sell eggs at full price or worse (for you that is ;-)) sell only eggs in your shop Full Price. The reason why there is an abundance of eggs in the DD is because you can harvest 54 eggs an hour. You can't use all those eggs for products, but they do clutter your barn. So what do you do? You sell them in your shop ;-)
And the easiest way to place an ad is put an ad on the first thing you put in your shop. Way easier than unchecking each time you put something up.
For me:
I never sell eggs in my shop (only if i tried to fill a crate on a boat and I was too late)
I never advertise (I have enough neighbors and followers to buy my goodies)
I never sell Full Price (except hardware like BEM, SEM, saws, etc)
I never sell premium goodies like jams and juices (I use those to fill crates), but everything else is for sale
I never fill my shop with only one product, I try to sell a variety of goodies several times a day
But that's my gameplay, I don't think anyone else has to adapt that style to make me like the game more.
My advice: Be patient, scroll through the DD, click on some ads and you may find something worth buying. Add more friends through GameCentre or Facebook. Check the shops of your followers, they might sell something you need too.
As much as I enjoyed the visitors bonus coins, it is nice to have a bit more variety in the DD again :D
I am also amazed at the domination of ads for eggs since the latest event began. I also never sell eggs in the DD. I only ever sell them to the little people and they buy my excess on a regular basis. Not that I have excess eggs these days. Seems like I'm always running out of eggs because the new products demand a lot of eggs. Anyway, I don't understand why, if so many people have so many eggs that they need to sell them, why this wasn't triggering the little people to buy them during the event
